Description

Savage Arms™ has made its Law Enforcement Series even more versatile by adding a 10-round detachable box magazine to its new 10 FCP-SR rifle, which is chambered in 308 Win. and features a threaded muzzle compatible with most suppressors. The platform is built around Savage’s classic, duty-proven 110 action, and uses a floating bolt head, zero-tolerance headspacing and precision button rifling to provide outstanding accuracy and consistency. The adjustable AccuTrigger™ lets the shooter set the trigger to their individual preferences for a light, crisp pull, while the AccuStock™ bedding system engages the action three-dimensionally along its entire length, further enhancing accuracy.

Anyone change out the bottom metal on their FCP-SR to accept a different type of mag (Accuracy International for instance)? These stock mags are pretty bad.

This is wonderful...only problem I have/had is when I punch my serial number into savage's rebate form it says this serial number does not qualify for the rebate!

Yep. False advertising. I just checked the rebate.. " Excludes 10/110 BA Models and Savage Ashbury Precision rifles"

I went with the 24 inch. According to Savage, there is only a 1/4 pound difference between the 20 and 24. Then again, Savage claims only a 2 inch difference in overall length.

I have 24 inch barrel. Weight is right on what website claims. It is front heavy. I have vepr 23.2 inch tactical sniper 7.62x54R with POSP 8x42mm. It has the same weight as this rifle (savage) with Primary arms 4-14x44mm scope. Vepr weight is more uniformly distributed and feels easier to carry. When shooting savage has less muzzle raise due to heavier barrel. Much more accurate than vepr though.

I went with the 20" model, difference in accuracy is marginal at best. Great deal most savage rebates in past excluded the 10 models.

Bought one. Very nice rifle. Very front barrel heavy. I think I might have gone with the 20" on second thought. The mag release is very difficult. Very good review of this rifle here: http://rifleshooter.com/2016/02/savage-model-10-fcp-sr-review/...
I would buy this rifle again at $550-$75 mail-in-rebate.

I bought one too. Arriving this week. I was thinking of putting Harris bipod but that would add 1 lb to the front. Since you said it was front heavy, bipod would make it even more front heavy.

Is this the same as: http://bit.ly/2e9YZ3k... ?
Savage 10PT-SR .308 Winchester Bolt-Action Rifle

Thanks!

No, The 10 PT-SR has an 18" barrel, but this 10 FCP-SR has a 24" barrel. Also I'm not sure which retailer you're looking at the PT from, but the one I saw at Academy doesn't come with the rail, whereas it looks like this one does.
