If your lookin for a solid chassis rifle go with the Ruger precision, I've got both and the Ruger is hands down the nicer of the 2.

The frame of the Savage 10 Ashbury is made principally out of 7075-T6. The Magpul stock is plastic.

Plastic frame. Totally not worth the money. Buy standard 24 inch 10 FCP-SR 308 (I got mine for $450 with rebate some time ago) and put it on XLR chassis, if you are into chassis systems. In fact 10FCP-SR without any modifications (AccuStock and AccuTrigger) shoots rugged hole at 100 yards with federal gold match 175gr from 5 shot groups.

Thanks for saving me money because I was about to order this. I just assumed that the chassis was milled aluminum. Never would have dreamed that it was polymer. Assumption, the mother of all fuck ups.
Good looking out.
