I recently ended up with 2 of these. They are nothing special by any stretch of the imagination but they certainly dont deserve the reputation they have. If you get one you might have to do a little bit of work on them but nothing a little sandpaper cant fix and for less than I paid for my old pump action you really cant beat it

Hello. Idiot here. I bought one of these because I enjoy working on unusual guns. I did not expect a $500 gun for $139.00. The gun actually is much better than I expected. Cycled every time. It's no beauty, but it'll get the job done and is fun to shoot.

Would be great if comments

Would be great if comments were only from people who have actually shot one of these guns, or from people interested in learning more about the gun. Lots of trolling instead. I just purchased one of these. I cleaned it well and lubed it well. I used the recommended high brass shells. The gun worked flawlessly. Kicked like a mule, but fired and cycled every shell.

No, it is not. The PRK's

No, it is not. The PRK's weird legal restrictions mean *any* semi-auto shotgun w/ a detachable magazine is verboten. Since the recent [last year] passage of gunmageddon nonsense, non-detachable "bullet button" mags were declared detachable, so anyone who has a shotgun w/ bullet-buttoned mags now has to register. HAS to register, as in "there is no such thing as a "featureless" shotgun w/ detachable mags." Sorry. Sux 2b living somewhere that the tail wags the dog, doesn't it?

They are "high cap" since

They are "high cap" since import semi-autos w/ detachable mags aren't allowed to ship w/ anything higher than 2rd [ie, hunting load limit] mags to qualify under the unconstitutional "sporting purposes" GCA '68 restriction. And besides, even a 5-rd single stack mag in 12ga is pretty darn tall!

How can ANY firearms from

How can ANY firearms from China be imported into the US after the China firearms import ban in April of 1994? I know shotguns were allowed until 2003. So how can this be ?
It would be awesome to get those Norinco and Polytech firearms coming in again....

If I am not mistaken there

If I am not mistaken there are plenty of Chinese shotguns on the market. I think it is the way they are imported by a 3rd party company who technically becomes the "manufacturer."

These are the funniest

These are the funniest comments I have read. Dudes bashing a $150 gun for lack of parts of they had to take it to a gunsmith. This thing breaks its going in the trash can and I'm buying another one. And don't compare this to a pump action like a Mossberg. Just buy the thing and blast away with it. Then use it as a club to bludgeon something. Buy more mag fed shotguns on the market are good things.

Use it as a club?!? I hope

Use it as a club?!? I hope your home intruder ALSO has a club. Al least then you will have at least a 50% chance of not being in the obituaries the next day. Do you purchase your automobiles the same way? Spend $9K on a car. It breaks in 3 months. Take it to the dump and buy another $9K that may last another 3-6 months? Better to spend $200-$250 on a Mossberg that will last you 20+ years, has a ten-year warranty and has a physical address inside the US you can send it to...as well as a telephone number that will answer 'HELLO" instead of '你好'. But maybe you have money to..as you say...place in the trash can. And this is to say nothing about those poor fellas that have to pay $30-$50+ for a gun transfer. I only paid $20 for my last transfer of TWO guns. But not everyone has an FFL an nice as mine.

Tried the second gun out.

Tried the second gun out. Bought some Fiocchi 4 shot hi brass 1 1/5 oz. Cycled perfectly from the first shot. Haven't tried them in the first gun yet. On the first gun the shells seemed to get caught going into the chamber. The plastic would get snagged and deformed. The Fiocchi seem to be crimped tighter at nose.

I registered just to give my

I registered just to give my feedback on this, not to worry it's not all great.
I ordered 2 just out of curiosity, so far I only tryed one on one occasions, the shotgun is NOT complete junk, and for what this may be worth, unless you own one and share your experience, your feedback is worthless.

On an initial inspection it's not a bad deal, the machining is rough, but not bad for the money, barrel appears to be chrome lined and at least mine definitely has a fixed choke, I haven't measured it yet but no slugs through this one.

I tried S&B 00 buck every single one failed to cycle, some cheap suprema target loads, same not one cycles, got stuck on various stages, some did not even extract, and it was rather difficult to manually extract them, some stovepiped.

Oddly enough some homemade #4 buckshot cycled every time, cheap stuff too, federal dove hulls, the original load was 1 1/8 shot, these were $5/ box at wall Mart, I reloaded them using the data for the original load, just replaced the shot with 23 #4 pellets same weight.
I did not have any of those factory loads that day, I shall try them next, not sure why but it is picky on ammo, maybe the chamber is too tight, maybe it needs breaking it, I have yet to investigate further, either way for the price I got my money worth, and I would definitely not hold it to the same standard with something that sells for 6+ times more,

It's NOT a cheap plastic toy, nor would I recommend it for a first shotguns, for me it's fine, fits me better that my other guns, I enjoy tinkering, and since it works fine with my home made loads , I am quite contempt with it, patterns well too.

The Hawk 870 clones you see them here 150 cdnn + 20 to ship, I got one from Brownells recently 180 free shipping plus they had one of those specials $20 off 200 haven't tried it yet, looks just like an 870, definitely not as smooth, and while it cycled my snap caps every time, barely ejected them while my old 870 ling's them about 6 feet

The ammo issue is usually

The ammo issue is usually either burrs in the gas ports or undersized gas ports. You can easily fix it with a number drill bit set by drilling the ports out one number at a time till the gun cycles reliably. Don't go so big that the ports bridge, but you shouldn't have to unless you try to get the gun to run on winchester bulk (which is the worst stuff to get a gas gun running on because of the fast powder). I went big enough with the ports on mine that it runs like a clock on federal bulk and federal dove loads and Suprema buckshot. I got two guns so I kept the other with smaller ports for running express loads and slugs.

Its smooth bore no choke at all - Either you got the wrong gun or they can differ significantly only rough machining I seen was the stainless trigger was a bit sharp so I polished it

A fixed choke doesn't mean

A fixed choke doesn't mean "no choke" just because you can't thread it out and change it. Both I got are full choke.

The one I opened it's

The one I opened it's definitely choked, I could feel it just by running a cleaning brush, I may have to get my calipers and see what it is exactly,
If memory still serves me the bolt had some rough machining and at the rear of the bolt some firing pin block was welded on and not very well cleaned up, I may have to go over it again, either way as you pointed out most of this can be cleaned up, and for the price, I'm not complaining

YES Rifle arrived and is much

YES Rifle arrived and is much nicer then expected the chrome lining of the bore looks like a tube in it, There is NO lead only restriction on the gun anywhere and Center Fire just called me and took my order for 4 - 5 round Mags - I have not had a chance to fire the weapon yet but after a total strip and clean of cosmoline the Action looks damn solid - I am very happy

I would not by this for $29.

I would not by this for $29. It isnt worth that much plus the transfer. There are so many other options out there. IAC 870 clones are what $150-$175? Come with ghost ring sights, or you can get the field model. Maverick shotguns are also a great cheap option. I can not imagine what idiot would buy this cheap shlt plastic stocked toy.

First of all, why are you

First of all, why are you exagerating prices? That is like saying 'Don't like this $13,900 Hyundai, then go buy a $100,000 Porshe! I paid about $200 for my Mossberg 500 24 years ago. Still shoots like brand new. Any gunsmith in the country either has parts for it or can get them. Can you say the same for this gun? Even a Maverick, which is one of the best CHEAP shotguns ($190) makes this look like a pile of $hit. And you can buy parts/upgrades for it on ebay every day. If this gun breaks, I guess you just throw it away. Spending a bit more on an American shotgun that will be more reliable and can actually be repaired by any gunsmith is well worth the extra. The 88 has a one year warranty and also service in the US for service after that period. The Mossberg has a 10 year warranty. If you are big enough to buy a gun, you are big enough to make your own decisions. But it would be foolish to ignore advice from those who have bought guns like this and found out the hard way how a 'good deal' doesn't look as good when it breaks.
