This light is pretty good, but it would be better if it had a 5 hour energy holder on the opposite side. Also, a PS4 holder too.

I just got one of these without the light (from another vendor) so I can put a better light in it. Trying it on several pistol rails it goes right on some but too snug on others. That indicates a difference in size of the guns rails from brand to brand. The quick on and off plus being able to carry in a pocket or on your belt is why I got it and it will work well once I put a light in it.

Looking at some of these posts, they are hilarious. OK, so when I saw this light I was like OMG how dumb. I admittedly came here just to read the comments but then after hearing some describe the lights maybe I jumped the gun....lol. Seriously, this might be great for a dresser drawer gun so you can have the light, the gun, or both. I'm sure there are other practical uses for this, I'll have to look at it some more.

EDIT: Sportman's Guide??? Definitely won't be getting one from them. Stay away!!!

I received one Yesterday. Installed it, To find it sticks out the front of my FNX9 by over 1/2 inch. Still works barely, Its very hard to get on, Molded to skinny. I would not buy again.

Well I suppose it's a step above the old crossed arms with the flashlight in the non dominant hand under the shooting hand lol

Have to weigh in that I see this possibly being useful for a long gun; especially when you don’t want a light/ mount hanging off of it 24/7. If the flashlight were at least 350 lumens I might actually consider it for that

Apparently you can buy just the mounting system and use whatever light you choose that will fit it. So a Streamlight or the like isn't out of the question.

If you are LEO and know when you are going into a situation where you need a light on your firearm I guess this is a good thing. Since it serves as an EDC light and a firearm light. But, those of us in the civilian world? They don’t know when they might need a light, so I think this wasn’t thought out well.
Imho anyway

I actually think this is practical and quite useful. Depending on the holster set up, I would be interested. To be honest, I like switching carry depending on the month and I’m sick of having to procure different holsters to accommodate my fickle nature. Also, I’ve seen this setup in AR platforms (taking the pocket clip off) and looks to be an awesome feature being able to offset light to 45 degrees on left or right hand setup. I’m going against the grain and saying that this shouldn’t be written off just because it deviates From the status quo. The only reason I’m not buying is due to the lower output on the light, but I’m sure Safariland likely catch up to the market.

Once the compatible holster comes out I'll be in for 3. If you know anything about tactics/shooting you will realize this is the the best way to utilize white light. The only other option I would consider is a slide mounted PEQ perhaps. Bravo Safariland! Will be curious to see how surefire and streamlight deal with this competition. Probably will eat up a sizable portion of the market.

This weapons light has to be one of the worst engineered and designed "weapons light".
Nothing about it makes any real sense.
It bulky, heavy, impractical, would never fir into any sort of holster, etc.
The issue is there are hundreds of practical and useful weapons lights on the market and many are still less. expensive as this monstrosity.
So yeah this is a no go for me.
This is my opinion, you are entitled to your own opinion and I will not disrespect yours, I ask you do the same.

*EDIT. after thinking about this light and what I wrote about it, I am man enough to admit possibly short selling this light. Due to the fact the manufacturer decided to use pics of the light on handguns which makes it appear ridiculous and just not a sensible pistol light.
But heres where I think i should have taken into consideration is this light might not be too bad mounted on a rifle. That would make so much more sense. So yeah used in the proper configuration it might shine.. lol (no pun intended?)

If you do some reading or watch video of the reasoning of making this you then would understand it. Its not made to stay on the Weapon, More to just put on fast when needed and sits on a belt etc when not used. So you wont need any special holster.

Does anyone else remember when Safariland used to stand for 'quality product' ???
Yea that's been a few decades ago.
