Noticed that jump earlier today, and now it's already "out of stock." Hope we don't see another post-Sandy Hook situation here with Bud's hoarding Saigas only to gouge them. I think American gun owners have since learned after what CTD did to us back then.

On buds site it says this rifle has a 16.3" barrel length. It looks much longer in this picture. There is also a comment that said the barrel is much shorter than advertised.....I want this rifle, but the I want the short barrel version.

I think it'd probably pay to wait.. these things are produced in pretty large quantity, so it shouldn't take long for the prices to come down quite a bit.. after all, they were selling for $289 not that many months ago..
And [if possible] I'd find an alternative store to buy it from.. Bud's isn't exactly known for their spectacular reputation.

Do these you AK mags? I'll wait for some one besides Bud's.

No, they do not take AK magazines. They will not use a standard double-stack AK magazine. This will need to be converted by resizing the magazine well and installing a bullet guide. Also, notice you cannot have a pistol grip on this without moving the trigger assembly.

This is partially incorrect. They DO take AK mags, but you need to install a bullet guide. Very easy process with a tap and die set. Search youtube on how to do it. The saiga conversion is very common place and not hard to do at all. 've done a few and with basic hand tool you can convert it over to the standard AK non sporter set up in less than 2 hours going slow.

No kidding. Who do you recommend? I've never bought off the Internet before. I know people buy firearms on it all day everyday but it still makes me nervous......the local gun shop is trying to sell one these 729.00.......(eyeroll)

I've never had a problem buying from Bud's Gun Shop.

There is a group of people on here that have a vendetta against Buds. They down vote everything and I've personally begun to think its a competitor. Their prices are almost always the lowest! (if not the lowest very close to) I've been told that some people feel like BUDS took advantage of the gun scare a while back but I can attest to the fact that they still had the lowest price on most everything, even then. They were not marking anything up more than everyone else. If you are one of the people who got screwed becuase you panicked, thats your fault not BUDS. For what its worth, I've never had a issues with BUDS period!
