Classic City Firearms has these for $765. This is not Classic.

With Atlantic having the same deal there is no reason to go with these assholes. They WERE a good company but since the new owner Rick took over a few years ago , it has turned to a below average company. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM CLASSIC FIREARMS.

I wished I knew why the price drop. I do remember what happened to the Streetsweeper, and the Spas 12 however.

Is another importer going to start importer these other than IO Inc? What's the catch, why the $200 price drop when there is more demand for Russian imports?

Getting them in before our dictator in chief places sanctions against russia maybe? Just my speculation anyhow.

makes me wonder how much money are they making on these if they were selling them first at $1199...

Typical for new products. The was money spent by the importers and manufacturer to get them ready for import. They probably wanted to recoup those fees early on with higher prices, since the BATFE can change their mind any day about imports & sporting purposes, all that bs. They could also be selling better or worse than expected. If worse, they could be dumping them and giving up, if better, they may be able to negotiate much better prices and import larger quantities, which would reduce per unit shipping & import fees.

Thanks Warthog! I am going to pick one up I think! So is there alot of accessories for the Vepr 12! Rails, grips, triggers etc?

so "are" there a lot of Vepr 12 accessories? Sorry {6th grade teacher} :) Yes there are for sure and SGM finally came out with their 25rd drum and there are tons of rail systems, brakes, triggers and pistol grips are standard AK, there a ton! Enjoy!!!

Trigger is standard AK trigger. I use the tapco single hook. Grips are standard AK grips. My favorite is US Palm. Carolina Shooters Supply has the compliance pistons. It is just a puck. Only cost $20. Add a muzzle devise and you compliant for factory high cap mags and functional folding stock.

Thanks for your help! So u are saying then that it is a great gun and to buy it correct? Also do you know of any of the muzzle breaks that you would recommend?

Not really. It does show that free markets work, however.

With these VEPRs at $799, Legion was gonna have to make it competitive. That's the reason you dropped them to the exact same price.

Might be too little, too late, but I will say this: either one is a deal at $799.

I have the Tromix Mini Monster Claw. It works good for slugs and buckshot. You wont notice a big difference with low brass. It is a good gun. This is a good price. If you want the stock to unfold, you will need to make it compliant by replacing 6 parts. Do a quick Google search of 922 compliance. There is a small tack weld on the back of the receiver to the folder hinge assembly. If you are good with a dremmel, the weld is easily removed. I had issues with some of my SGM mags at first. They were in the first batch, but they replaced them. The factory 8 rnd mags are nice, but cost twice as much.

Hello, I have wanted one of these for a long time! Is it really a great shotgun! And if i attach a muzzle break will it mess the gun up?

Muzzle brake wont mess it up but you could have issues cycling low brass with a muzzle brake, seriously the recoil is not bad at all. I had a tromix mini monster an was not impressed. I obsessed over so many brakes for so long, eventually I realized they for the most part are overrated....It is not sexy and I rolled my eyes when some experts suggested it but I learned the simple flash hiders are a great low cost option .

Muzzle brake wont hurt the gun. The only thing that should be noted is the internal dimensions are slightly different then the Saiga 12. The threads are the same, but the inner diameter is slightly different. Some have voiced caution about using slugs with certain choke restrictions. Go onto Saiga 12 or Vepr forum for more detail.

How low can you go? I'd like one of these but I don't want to get burned. Is $500-$600 a possibilty?

I have to believe these are on or going to be on the sanction list. I was wondering this morning why the prices on these drastically dropped. The US Senate signed an aid package for the Ukraine yesterday. The article also said there would be sanctions, but only named Putin's cronies as being sanctioned. I have a feeling when these dry up, they wont be imported into the US any more.

Wow, I can't believe this have droped so much in price in the last year, I bought mine for 1199 and that was $200 cheaper than most places...Jump on it, I love mine and will eat anything. I had no problems with mine, recoil was light just don't mess around with shortening the barrel length and permanently attaching a muzzle brake, I had a terrible time with it after doing this and had to do a ton of work to the gas system.

It is setup from the factory to be perfect!

Bought one of these and right afterward they decided to include the extra 5 round magazine. After reading the manual two 5 round magazines are standard out of the Molot factory. So basically they take the extra magazine out and just ship one while selling the one they take out for $44. Way to screw over future customers. I wrote them and I will see if they will send me the extra magazine without charge.

Wow, really ?
All these people talking crap about this gun have no idea wth they're talking about.
A) These have the side folder which is the same as on an SVD-S, which before these came in were 500+ on their own.
B) saiga 12's regularly sell for 850+
C) These unlike saiga's have an automatically adjusting gas system, accept any standard RPK furniture, come converted from the factory, they have drop free mags, and they have adjustable sights (windage and elevation).

Vepr's are based on RPK's not a standard AK. I owned one of the first 300 in the country, and mid panic it sold for waaay more than I paid (I didn't do it because I wanted to, I had to pay for a new car and needed it.). They cycle EVERYTHING, and with brenekke slugs at 100yrd I get 2-4" groupings. Drums are avail, but are not cheap ass plastic, 1 place makes em $250 for the all metal drum, SGM makes 10 and 12 round stick mags as well.

Go ahead talk crap, I'll have mine and it will out last and out function any other semi auto magfed out there. These are among the Absolute best shotguns on the planet and at a very fair price. Run one before talking down on something you know nothing about.

This deal expired, Royal Tiger has them for 949+ fair shipping to michigan it was 969. 1300 is high, but honestly not out of line. I just bought one from Royal Tiger.

A $1300 mag fed shotgun based on the cheapest most mass produced rifle ever made.

I mean really, what doesn't scream deal here?

Better jump on this one while you can folks, god only knows how much one's "worth" when you're not getting a slick deal like this.

Dude, AK is a great rifle. Cheapest not cheapest it will outshoot and outlast any expensive AR-15 any day and night. Not saying that price is affordable for everyone but having a multi-shot reliable semi-auto shotgun is appealing. Benelli M4 that only holds 4+1 rds in its civilian version costs as high as 1800$ and it could not accept detachable magazines. Do a market check and notice that it actually a bargain in the segment.

Dude, I never said it wasn't...lol. By cheap I meant inexpensive to manufacture, which they are... among the cheapest, thats why there's millions and millions of them out there.

I'm well aware of how good the AK platform is, I own a few extraordinary variants myself. However, none of that amounts to a hill of beans anyway, not when it comes to a $1300 variant, especially in 12ga.

I would feel better about paying $1300 for an actual AK than for something with a comparatively inexpensive smooth bore barrel.

Like I said, I also have a Mossberg 930 and an FN SLP that I would put against this any day of the week AND the 930 costs less than half. Its seven plus one plus the ghost round for a total of nine with the stock capacity tube on it.

Sure, you can reload a mag faster, but really, who gives a shit? Is that supposed to be worth an additional $700? You still have to load and carry them. Mine is still lighter, has better ergonomics, and functions flawlessly.

I dunno what else to say. I can't see any value in this at $1300 bucks. I think it's a joke.

Yeah, the fact that you can't get a drum like a Saiga's 20 rounder (with mod) loses the cool factor too. Waste at $1300... not even good for zombies. Unless Nobama does something stupid, these things will be back down to a real price by Xmas.

Probably as being Russian made it should cost around 900$ for me to grab one but she'll I be gangster of some kind it would be a nobrainer even with this price

Again, I think youd HAVE TO BE a NO BRAINER to buy this at this price.

At $900, we could definitely talk, but 13? C'mon!

People need to wake up and stop buying this shit, it's going on all around. People need to realize they control the market. Some fucking numbskullas are buying these at 1300, that's why they're priced that way. It's happening with everything, from coffee to gasoline, to ammo.

Don't blame the supply, they're just taking advantage of the fucking idiots. That's just good old capitalism in action.... Blame the demand. We're the ones in control.
