Good sights, good trigger, good ergonomics, reliable and accurate. And at this price, it's a truck gun. I would take this any day over the other $250 9mms out there.

Great pistol, good retailer, but Four Winds Technology has the cheaper price delivered to your FFL. $271.14 delivered.

Just bought a Taurus PT111 'Grey' from them yesterday, as well as a few magazines. You definitely need to compare prices with shipping before buying anything.

I couldn't be happier with my 9E. Great pistol at a great price. I got a 2-pack of Ruger magazines from Grab-a-Gun for $36.50 a while back, but now they're showing $30 each.

Have over 2000 rounds through mine. As others have said feels good in hand and nice trigger. Highly recommend.

These are fantastic guns. As close to a 1911 in feel as a polymer gun can get.

This has the nicest grip out of all my guns. Trigger is decent also.

I put the SR22 on layaway this past weekend. Best price I found on it.

Midwestbanker you asked what's the word on Whittakers...they are local to me...I have bought almost my entire arsenal from them. I was so glad to see them on gun.deals where more folks can reap the rewards of such an amazing small business!! They are top top notch folks...you will be beyond impressed I am sure!

MJ28 I did the same deal, bought it on layaway, but I paid it off 2 days later (split total between 3 cards). They shipped the gun on the 2nd business day after the final payment was received. Hope that gives you some peace of mind.

The layaway option they have is fantastic, to be able to pay with multiple forms of payment over 90 days without any extra fees and also no rediculous credit card fee (other vendors should seriously take notes from these guys!!!). I am very happy with my transaction with Whittaker Guns and will likely make more purchases from them in the near future as a result of this smooth initial experience.

@banker,

Me and stacking999 each bought/layaway a S&W MP15 II .I hope the guys will deliver and not change their mind after a crazy price hike.

Layaway deal is 90 days same as cash no account setup fee

So thinking of buying another. What's the word on Whittaker Guns?

Wow, what a deal! If this gun is as reliable as the SR9, this is quite the steal...very tempted to grab one.

At this price I'm tempted to get one, and I am no Ruger fanboy by any means. This version doesn't have the chamber loaded indicator which makes it superior to the original, IMO.

Own them both. I like the 9E better actually and feel really comfortable handing this off to my less experienced 21 year old daughter or 22 year old son to shoot. Nice trigger and fantastic quality with great Ruger Service. Mags, on sale, can be had sub $20. Had some light primer strikes on the SR9 and cleaned the striker channel to fix that. No probs so far on the 9E.

Lot of gun for the money.

Yeah, I guess the price on these is being reduced with the Ruger American's recent release? Think I'd still prefer this actually. A little on the heavy side for cc/edc, but nice gun.
