SR9C is a good pistol: Good trigger, good sights, good grips, good ergonomics. I had problems with light primer strikes on range ammunition, but Ruger service fixed this.
Edit-thought I saw COMBAT, not COMPACT with 10 round mag
Funny---I see 'Compact Pistol', then saw '10-Round' mag. I was wondering WHO goes into combat with a 10 round mag? I had forgotten about our brothers and sisters who live over the wall in the Communist Republic of Kalifornia (CRK).
You do know the difference between “compact” and “combat” right? FYI, the standard SR9c mag is 10 rounds for concealability. The 17-round mag that comes with it (where allowed) gives a nice boost in capacity, once out in the open.
Yea, I know. But when I see combat...well, you know. I have a few pistols that have the smaller mags, but wish they would just send two of the higher capacity mags instead of one of each. Even when I conceal carry, I have the higher capacity mag in the gun and the lower one as a backup. I just bought a 10 round mag for my Ruger LC9s. I really couldn't stand being in Kalifornia and having a 10 round mag for my Springfield XDM 9mm. Kind of pointless. They say it is because of criminals. But criminals do not care how many rounds their mags carry. Same with Illinois. All the regs they have on the books and they still get nationwide attention and even attention from the president on how many people die there from shootings.

These are great, I own one in two tone stainless, all slides are stainless regardless, even the black finished ones. This is my primary CCW and it's great for that. Light, sleek and easy to carry, I sold my G27 to buy this and it's so much better. Trigger is great also, mine has been totally reliable. I carry with a 10 round in the gun with the pinky extension and carry and extra 17rd mag for reload. At this price, it's an insane deal. You can easily remove the magazine disconnect if it bothers you.
