Description
Ruger® Security-9TM 9mm Semi-auto Pistol Born from the personal protection pedigree of the old Security-Six Revolver, the all-new Security-9 Pistol delivers the same solid construction, absolute reliability and affordable price that made its predecessor such a hit. But unlike the Security-Six Revolver, this is a modern firearm with modern materials and a modern ergonomic design that makes it easier to carry than other mid-size pistols. The Secure Action is derived from the reliable and proven hammer-fired LCP II fire control system, combining the smooth trigger pull of the LCP II with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action. The internal hammer provides strong ignition force yet allows for easier slide racking—and won't catch on clothes or holsters when drawn. The low-profile safety is likewise very unobtrusive on the draw, but is still very easy to operate. The contoured grip tucks nicely into your hand, giving you easy access to the trigger and mag release. The grip itself is what Ruger calls a medium texture…it's not too aggressive, but still easy to hold onto. And the kicker? We tried it out in a few Glock 19 holsters, and it fit beautifully. It's easy to carry. It's a joy to shoot. For protection in a pinch, reach for the new Ruger Security-9, the ultimate mid-size carry gun. Compact for easy concealment, the mid-sized Security-9TM is designed to fit a variety of available holsters and concealed carry options Rugged construction with blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame Precision machined, hard coated aluminum chassis with full-length guide rails Secure Action System combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP® with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action Dovetailed, high-visibility sight system with drift adjustable U-notch rear sight and fixed front sight Internal hammer provides strong ignition force, lessens the force required to work the slide, and won't catch on clothing Textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip Safe, easy takedown with no special tools or trigger pull Safety features include bladed trigger safety; manual safety; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled Includes two 15-rd. magazinesOrder today! Is This the same 9E of a few years ago? I wonder if the parts will interchange
just a solid, reliable budget pistol. Perfect for home defense, carry, etc. Although the price is marked up a little due to supply and demand, I think $331 is still a good deal for this pistol. You cant go wrong here if your simply looking to buy an inexpensive handgun for protection. I wish theyd cost in the $269-$299 range as seen previously. Oh well.
got it for 284 total with 5% tax from gander outdoors with their 10% off coupon
Im the same (gun whore), only brand not in my safe is glock
He hasn’t made it legal. He said he’d support it but there is no federal law that does that.
Now that Donald Trump has made it legal to take peoples guns without due process or having committed a crime it seems senseless to buy more.
I don't know how they sell their AR 556 for so cheap.
They have have been at the lowest price they have ever been for the last 6 yrs or so 500-2000 but that’s about to change you will probably be lucky to get one the budget models will go back to a grand
I own a lot of different brands of handguns glocks, signs, fns, Ruger, Beretta etc. the Ruger SR9E is a great handgun. No malfunctions, seventeen round magazines, and one of the best triggers. I carry it daily and have no problem relying my life on it. I paid $249.00 shipped can’t see what this gun has to offer over the 9E that would improve its performance and reliability.
Some people may prefer the Security 9 trigger over the 9E because it has a slightly lighter or because it is hammer-fired. I actually paid $225 for my 9E and really like it, but I am interested in the Security 9 also. I think the price might eventually slide down into that $250 range.
Do you know if the parts Will interchange with the past 9E ?
Had a P90 decock only yrs ago and was very happy with that Ruger. For the price of this one, id feel stupid not to buy. Ruger makes a solid mid level if u will pistol. I'm on the new look as well. Perfect size for concealed or second line of defence. HK primary and Ruger secondary... sounds like good shit
Lol ugly hand gun, you have obviously not seen the berrerta px storm and dare i say hipoint.
Yep...those 'ugly guns' can't shoot worth a crap...Jesus. I guess those people with 'ugly cars' should just stay home.
Who gives a flying f#ck if it is ugly. The guy(s) you are shooting really doesn't(don't) give a $hit. My Ruger LCP II isn't the prettiest, but it shoots a .380 round where I want it...just like the 'pretty' ones. And it didn't cost me $500-$600 either.
At $250.00 it will be 1/2 the cost of a over priced Glock
There is a huge difference in quality between the two that ruger will probably wear out with less than half the rounds it take to wear out a Glock you pay for what get
I shot one at a range yesterday feels like a cheaper m&p 2.0compact but the trigger isn’t bad I’d even say slightly better than my m&p so take that as you will
Looks like a glock19 has anyone got any range time w this not a glock fan btw how did it run
It literally looks nothing like a glock 19 nor does it operate like a glock 19. The only thing they gave in common is size and they both are pistols
This is at most worth $200. I won't pay more than that. All the Glock fans, I won't pay more than $200 for it either. I don't see why production cost can cost more on Glocks than all steel guns. To me polymers are polymers. Enjoy your over inflated priced polymers. I got rid of all my over inflated polymers.
I get what you are saying, but I doubt it is as simple as just production/material cost. You're paying for research & development, distribution, customer service, advertising, and the list goes on. If they could sell these pistols for less than $200 and still make a worthwhile profit, I'm sure they would--and effectively seize an even larger share of the market than they already have.
Recently, Nevada State Troopers got issued this gun in .40, so I would say yes.
Dude, a few weeks ago you were saying this pistol was made in Serbia and warning people not to buy it. And now this nonsense. What's your problem?
You're just flat out trolling BS. Nevada doesn't even have "state police"... they have the Nevada Highway Patrol. And no, they didn't just issue the Ruger Security 9 in .40. Ruger doesn't even make a Security 9 in .40... thus the reason it's not called the Security .40. Is this fun for you? How old are you? 12? Posting from your parents' basement?
Keep dreaming bud cause it will never get that low maybe $250 if you don't like it well go find a different gun
Are the guide rails polymer? I keep asking this question around but can't get an answer.. If they are it's a no for me.. If not.. I'm getting one.
If you mean the slide rails, they're metal. The Truth About Guns put out a video last week showing one field stripped. Removable aluminum chassis and slide rails.
https://youtu.be/EmVxlsFvh8s...
@ this price point, I wouldnt mind to get me another "LCP II on steroids", love the trigger design, but man, my safe has no more room, lol....
i am willing to pay only $180... perhaps in 6 months time!
Or perhaps not. A Ruger 9mm new for 180? Come on now.
Has glock style sights. Except they are metal, and the rear sight is adjustable.
Is there any other sights that are compatible for this firearm?? Prepreaply night sights.
There are fiber optic sights, yes, but Ruger released that there will not be a night sight option because it would increase the weight of the slide too much to work properly.
If the difference in mass between a tritium vial and a fiber light pipe on the slide is enough to choke the gun then you can count me out. That said I feel like this might not be the truth.
It's not the truth. I've been seeming them pop up online.
This douche is a tool troll that gets off on posting misinformation that is ridiculous. He needs to be banned.
I agree. I think I'm pretty tolerant of differing opinions on things, but this guy is ridiculous.
It looks like a great value glock 19 size gun. I don't think I have a need for one but if they are reliable It something I might use as a glove box gun.
Can anybody give me any information range information. If you just think Glock is the greatest thing out there this is a piece of crap because that means you're stupid clock is shit I really want another semi automatic handgun I like my Smith & Wesson sd9ve and my sig p320 ... any range info how did it do
Seems to shoot a might to the left.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeL4A5m-Kao...
I’d buy this just to see how many rounds I could put through it before wearing it out that’s cheap enough for me to do so to bad I don’t have the money to blow to do that with some other guns
