Love Rugers BUT.... is this really worth 3x the current appx net cost of Thompson Compass (in pretty much any common high caliber) including rings, Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 scope (lifetime warranty) and (some) muzzle brake? Oh yeah, threaded barrel & sub-MOA accuracy too. No it doesn't look near as cool or include a strap, but when comparing results....methinks this price could and should improve relative to competition. I'd still stupidly go $500/$600 on it (just because I guess) but can't justify $900 when I can achieve much better results (w/the Vortex glass) for 1/3 the price - or I can get more toys in affordable shooting .308 and/or high-powered 300 Win Mag and a .270 in addition to the creedmoor. My 2c FWIW

Only if this is .308

308? I don't think 6mm is gonna take off like the 6.5 creedmoor but the ballistics of a 6.5 is hands down better than the old 308. At 1000 yards the 308 drops about 9 feet more than the 6.5 creedmoor. It's a better round all around. Look into it.
