Description

The Ruger Precision Rifle is an astoundingly accurate rifle that's fully customizable. The rifle starts with a medium-contour, cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling at minimum bore and groove dimensions, minimum headspace, and a centralized chamber. The in-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock, not through a traditional bedding system, providing maximum accuracy potential. The upper receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel to minimize distortion. Lower magazine well halves are precision-machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and are Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability. The magazine well front is contoured for a positive grip for bracing against shooting supports.

Every Precision Rifle comes equipped with Ruger's Precision MSR stock, which features QD sling attachment points, a bottom Picatinny rail, and a soft rubber buttpad to ensure comfort and adaptability. The left-folding stock hinge is attached to an AR-style buffer tube and accepts any AR-style stock. The three-lug bolt with a 70° throw features dual cocking cams and a smooth-running, full diameter bolt body. The bolt handle is oversized for positive bolt manipulation with a bolt disassembly tool that's stored in the bolt shroud for easy striker channel cleaning. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable with a pull weight range of 2.25 to 5.0 pounds. The wrench is stored in the bolt shroud. 5/8"-24 threaded barrel with thread protector. Extended trigger-reach AR-style grip. 45° reversible safety selector.

This upgraded Precision Rifle comes equipped with Ruger's Short-Action Handguard for improved scope clearance with long-range scopes. The Hybrid Muzzle Brake effectively reduces recoil while minimizing noise and blast to the sides of the shooter (thread protector included). A billet aluminum bolt shroud is included as well. Ships with two 10-round Magul PMags. 1 in 10" RH twist.

I got this rifle for the same just a little bit less a few weeks ago (I think it was $744 then) and its a steal. These are amazing precision rifles for the price (sure, there no GAPrecision or SAC), but they will shoot 3/4MOA easily. I am amazingly happy with min for the short period I have had it. You wont find it cheaper. I am waiting till the 6.5 goes on sale somewhere so I can snatch up another RPR

They were indeed considerably less expensive just a few weeks ago. I am waiting for the Gen 3 with a couple upgrades and M-Lok. They must not have sold thru their inventory at the $780 price and that was a good price.

They upped the price $150 over two weeks. These used to be $780. I bought one.

This sale ends today. The gander near me had 5 of them in stock. If you're a good sam member they ring up at $600....I bought all 5.

The GS discount is "up to 10%" according to the site and I am sure firearms do not qualify for "double discount days."

10% off doesn't even bring you below $700.

I’m a Good Sam member and don’t receive a discount for the Rifle when I try to order it online.

Fantastic deal. I didn't need a 308, but figured this is going to shoot better than my Rem 700 in 223 so I can sell that and pay for most of this.. Hot Deal.

Attempted to buy, they gave me the 10% off coupon to use for giving them my email address. When I added the promo code, I got "Promo code "XXXXXXXX" cannot currently be added to your cart."

Fine print: "Excludes merchandise from the following categories: guns, ammunition, trolling motors, and electronics."

Of course, they don't tell you that whenever they promise you 10% off. Only afterwards.

Gouger mountain, still up to their old tricks and being pieces of shit.

Right under the add to cart button they state, "This item is excluded from all discounts and promotions."

That's pretty standard for those type of discounts that pop up when you get on a website.

They don't tell you until after you give them your info though. Just says 10% off. I went again on a different computer to verify. Sure enough, it popped up again.

The screen text says "10% of your purchase." No asterisk. No fine print. Nothing. The button you click says "Unlock 10%." Again, no asterisk or fine print.

They are scumbags.
