Description

Ruger® LCP® II .380 ACP Semi-automatic Pistol

Blending the rock-solid reliability of the original with some smart refinements, the LCP® II proves that even the BEST can get better! At just 5.17 inches long and a mere 10.6 ounces, it's still the same easily-concealed pocket pistol it always was. It still goes bang every single time you pull the trigger, and it still has that pinch-yourself price tag that made the original LCP the most attractive option in its class.

Simply put, the LCP II takes nearly every aspect of the original and gives it a new level of polish, so it feels just a little better, and shoots just a little sweeter. First and foremost, the longer double-action only trigger of the original LCP is gone, replaced by a new single-action only trigger that features an integrated safety. The new trigger delivers a shorter, crisper trigger pull that breaks clean at 5-6 pounds.

The trigger guard itself has been enlarged for easier access by your trigger finger, and now features a trigger stop that keeps over-travel to a minimum and reset as short as possible. The backstrap is a little wider, so it feels a little more substantial in your hand, and the grip has been overhauled with a more aggressive texturing for enhanced control. The slide has been redesigned as well, and now features front and rear serrations. It locks open when the last round has been fired -- a nice quality-of-life enhancement -- and when you DO have to manually operate the slide, you'll notice a softer recoil spring. Rounding out the package are higher, wider sights and a loaded chamber view port that lets you visually confirm that the internal hammer is cocked. All in all, the LCP II represents a step forward for the already-iconic LCP platform. We're excited by the LCP II, but we're even MORE excited by the modest price tag.

PLEASE NOTE: Six-round LCP magazines are compatible with the LCP II, but will not activate the last round hold-open feature of the LCP II. Seven-round LCP magazines are NOT compatible with the LCP® II.

New single-action only trigger is lighter and crisper than the original LCP's double-action only trigger
Trigger breaks at 5-6 lbs., with minimal take-up, almost no over-travel, and short, fast reset

I owned and carried the original lcp for a few years. I loved it's small size and light weight. I have larger conceal carry pistols but this was always my favorite and most carried. Yes the trigger was long and heavy but not terrible. When the lcp ii was released I sold my original and bought the updated version. Major improvements on the lcp ii version are better sights, better trigger which has shorter and lighter pull, and a better finish on slide and barrel which is much more durable and protective against surface rust which was a problem with the gen 1. Ankle guns specifically are prone to that corrosion because of their exposure to salty sweat. I have had zero problems with the lcp ii and have carried it daily for years. I own a lot of single stack carry guns. Some have higher capacity, larger caliber, etc, but nothing will ever replace my lcp for comfortable daily carry. I can slide it in my inside suit coat pocket, in my front pocket of Jean's or slacks. In a padded snap secured ankle holster I can play moderate basketball, jogging, bicycling. I love it.

I bought one, great service sending it from Sportsman's Guide and the trigger is very nice BUT the thing jams like crazy. I've tried Remington, Winchester, Fiocchi, Tula, Federal. 400 rounds and 3 different Ruger LCP 2 mags and nothing helps. Locks up on the 4 or 5th round for all three mags. It's going back to Ruger as soon as I get a reply from them.

I bought an lcp and an lcp 2 at the same time. Ended up selling the lcp as the lcp 2 is a lot smoother shooter and only slightly larger. Trigger and recoil are far better than the lcp. The lcp is still a great buy for the prices it has been at lately.

I've had good luck with the 2 or 3 guns I've purchased from Bud's in the past but I know of more than a few people that said they received rifles or handguns that had wear on them and were most definitely used

Buds takes forever to ship simple stuff like AR grips & ect. I'm not a huge fan of them and I will always look elsewhere.

My brother had the same issue with Bud's. His "new" gun had a good bit of wear on it when he received it.

Not really a deal. These go on sale for just over $200 usually

Be aware, Buds has a history of shipping used guns as new. I paid for a new gun, they shipped me something used. At first I thought there was just blemishes on the slide, no biggie, function is important. Within an hour of leaving the range the gun was with Fed Ex headed back to the manufacturer. I didnt believe the stories I read on the internet about them shipping people used or range guns as new until I saw it first hand. Buyer Beware.

Besides the deal and prices, is this a good gun to buy? My friend has the regular lcp and the trigger just sucks. Is the trigger on this LCP 2 better?

From what everyone on youtube says, yes. I have ordered this gun but have not received it yet. I have looked at the reviews, and they say the LCP sucks, the LCP C is better and the LCP II is best.

Yes, I'm going for sure. I have the regular LCP, but the trigger is down right terrible. I know it's a mouse gun in all but this LCP2 is suppose to be alot better.
Would like that 20.00 off coupon if possible.
Thanks a lot man. I appreciate it.

The only way I have been able to use the regular LCP is in a wallet style holster (De Santis or Uncle Mikes are typically good) in a pocket, that gives you a good grip on it and makes it bearable. Other than that the II is leagues ahead and I carry that all the time too.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I have a cabelas 10 minutes away. What was their deal?

It's $269.99, but if you have access to a receipt from there, they usually have a $20 off $150 purchase if you fill out a survey online. Let me know if you are going to FOR SURE buy one and I will send u a code to use in store for $20 off $150 if you can't find one yourself.

Looks like the deal is expired man... I just went to the site and it indeed is showing the OLD price. Sorry u missed it, Cabela's has it on sale this week too, but it's not quite as low as it was here, but if you live near one that's local you have that extra advantage. Good luck! I notice that the moderators on this site are kinda slow to report deals that are dead.

Sportsman's Guide has been havin some decent deals lately! I ended up grabbing this gun to use as a pocket gun, the price seemed right, so hopefully it serves me well!

J&G Sales offer the price lower on the front end,but they get you on the back end with the shipping charge. This pistol can be purchased much less.

$288.65 delivered price to TX. $18.70 for 2-day handgun shipping sure seems reasonable to me.
