The color matches my 10/22 carbine. I was looking for the Pro version of this, but no luck.

I think I read where they are being discontinued. I don't know why. As you said , great gun. The Ec9s uses the same mag.

Obviously machining the sights into the slide, instead of adding them afterward, lowered their cost of production and they also cut the slop out of the pricing to compete with others under $250 as they know they will get you for at least one additional mag, restoring some margin. If you have any thoughts of adding tritium or upgraded sights, stick with the LC, if they are of no concern, go with the EC. On either one, with a little mechanical ability to tear down the trigger group, you can delete the mag safety feature if thats a major problem for you.

Overall, I like my LC9s and the mag safety is just a minor irritant for me so I didnt tear it down like I originally intended when I bought it to replace the PF9 I carried for years and got stolen. Although I carried the PF9 for years and it didnt have a safety, the trigger on the LC9s was so sweet, I wanted that thumb safety as I always carry with one in the pipe and being a pocket carry gun, didnt want to inadvertently put something in the same pocket that could snag the trigger. My only complaint is that I notice the additional weight between the LC9s and PF9, like carrying a spare mag plus the pistol difference, so my pocket carry has become a Diamondback DB9 and use the LC9s for IWB. DIfferent hammers for different jobs, right?
