Because when they ban all the Ar15s you can still shoot all the .223 you hoarded!
I cant believe ruger hasn't won a military contract. This is the perfect rifle for conflict.
Did you notice the caliber on this rifle? 5.56 isn't what Jeff Cooper envisioned for a Scout Rifle. It was a 308 or similar. This rifle gives a lot less firepower with the same weight and size as a true Scout rifle.
Ruger does make this in 308.
This gun makes absolute zero sense.
You can buy ARs for $400.
What purpose or role does this thing fill that is not already filled by an AR?
This thing is the answer to a question no one asked.
I have the 308 version, weighs 6.25 lbs. LIGHTWEIGHT is the answer to your question. There isn’t an AR10 out there that weighs less than 8lbs give or take an ounce.
Oh but "someone" did ask.......

LONG LIVE THE "COOP'S" LEGACY!
Remember when Ruger "supported" banning AR15s in favor of selling more minis...until 2 years ago when they finally made an AR556, which I bought before the huge price dip. No meaning to this statement, just sayin
