Awesome rifle as stated earlier.
This is in the 6's from

Although I bought my Scout rifle elsewhere, the gun itself is absolutely amazing. Great trigger, only real improvement is to put an XS scope rail on the gun to give a iron sights AND traditional scope mounting.

Have it. Love it. Can't speak for Lanbo. Never bought anything from them.

How do you like the muzzle device? I like this gun too but think it would look a lot cleaner with a comp on it. Is it threaded or permanent?

I don't mind either way. Some people complain about it. It IS threaded so you can change it out if you wanted. Makes a PING sound when cycling. The rifle itself is pretty awesome if you understand the concept. One gun. One Mag. All you need when hunting. Especially if you are tracking through heavy brush. High powered and lightweight. Compact. For me...awesome combo. Mind the Kick.

I get the concept but I only wish they had carried out the concept so that the rifle could accept a double stack magazine. I think they missed the center of the current gun buying market. That's actually pretty unusual for the Ruger marketing department because since Bill Ruger passed away they have mostly been "game on" with new products.

I'm fond of Ruger, but if this rifle could take either a 5, 10 OR a 20 round magazine I'd already own one. I keep looking to see if someone has made an aftermarket 20 rounder. Apparently not yet. I want more accessories, darn it.

Why does a hunting gun need 20 rounds? Get an AR.

I like choices, and understand capacity, but for a bolt gun, 20 might be quite a bit. At the same time , a double-stack 10 would've stuck out less, allowing better angles when pointed down (and with a 308 bolt, a scout wants the higher ground).

Also, a Rem 700 with removable mags would cost more than this...

Barrel @ 16.5" seems a little short for a .308 - do you find the muzzle flash is tolerable and accuracy still adequate past 250 yards or so?

GFA lists them at $715 with free shipping. There are a couple other places that have them for $720-$750 range (shipped) as well.

Best versatile bolt rifle I own. (For me). Money well spent. Luckily, picked one up before the madness. $650 on sale locally. Out of the three bolts I own....this Gunsite is my most favorite. I haven't even shot the others since I owned it.

Mag prices from Ruger are BS though. $39.95 for your choice of a 10, 5, or 3 round Poly mag? BS! And the metal mags are $60.00? Total BS!. Luckily, the shop I bought it from sweetened the deal with extra mags. It comes with irons already on and additional scope rings and wrenches included.

Also, mind the kick. I originally put a mid-range scope on it (300-600yds) but decided irons are way best way to go with the purpose of this rifle. Last thing.....it does NOT like polymer\lacquered ammo. Just use brass.

Edit: Ruger just came out with an 18' inch Stainless Barrel for this Gunsite. I haven't seen one for sale locally or online but it came out around January or so. (allocated).

Word is Mossberg might come out with a .308/7.62x51 of the MVP Predator. If you're familiar with the current MVP Varmit/Predator they are chambered for 5.56x45/.223 and can use AR mags. I would imagine the .308 version will be able to use either some sort of FN FAL mags, AR10 mags, or other 20 round .308 mags.

One of these blew up my suppressor. I proved it was the rifle. These were the very first ones. Ruger did replace the rifle. Got pictures.
