Can anyone comment on the trigger pull?

The trigger while smooth, is quite heavy - heavy enough that it significantly affects accuracy when shooting it in double action. I have both this and a S&W 617 22lr revolver. Both had pretty heavy triggers for a 22lr revolver. I had trigger work done on both guns including polishing and spring replacement and there is NO Comparison now! The S&W is a joy to shoot and has a light, smooth trigger in double and single action. The Ruger's trigger hardly changed -still too heavy to shoot accurately in double action. I talked to the gunsmith and he said that the spring he put in was as light as he could go with out misfires. He said blamed it in on Ruger's "transfer bar" safety system that absorbs so much of the energy from the falling hamming that the the hammer spring has to be extra heavy to compensate.
Awhile back my friend that owned this Ruger revolver shot my Smith 617 after it had the trigger work. The next time we went shooting he had a Smith 617 in 4" and told me he had sold his Ruger and bought the Smith after shooting them both with me. He said he "just could not ever shoot the Ruger accurately".

My 2 cents worth - Get a Smith & Wesson 617 instead. Its around the same price and is just a much better gun. (Yes I still have my Ruger but I hardly ever take it out to shoot)

In for the answer. You need GI Joe Kung Fu Grip for the SP101
