Buy it in your local gun shop, that is how you get around not paying that fee. I get around it by paying a much larger fee (membership) at a range.

I think the manual safety and mag disconnect safety might each be removable on this, but I could be wrong (and it may be a bad idea for legal reasons as others have pointed out). In any event, $190 shipped is the best price I've seen. I upvoted at $209 or $199, so it's been going down.

I was thinking the same thing...there must be some regions that restrict sales without safeties on handguns. Since this has both a trigger safety and is drop safe, then one could just carry it without the manual safety engaged, right?

They make the LC9 Pro without a safety. Some states don't allow handguns without safeties...... It's quite a leap to say Ruger is a sellout just for manufacturing guns with safeties.

Probably because of the price for the same exact gun. Use the money you save to buy ammo. Besides, who needs sights for a ccw?????? These ain't for target shooting. Besides, the aights on it are accurate, you may want to theow some paint on them as they are black on black. Thats what I did and they wirks great!!

Not sure where you are getting your information from. You are not 'saving $30 today'. It is not '$30 more'. Better change that to $50 and some change. The cheapest you can get the Pro model today is from Guns Midwest for $250.53 shipped. It doesn't matter that you got it cheaper 2 weeks ago somewhere else...unless you can provide us with a time machine so we can get the same deal. Most people will probably be using this close up. Not a target 20-50 feet away from them. The sights do not have to be adjusted for long range. And most people spending two bills on a handgun won't be spending another $50-$100 upgrading it. And as you say..."You also do not know what the hell you may or may not want in the future." What if you decide you would really like a safely for this gun in the future? Well, you are shit out of luck if you buy that PRO model. As far as the corrosive resistant finish' on the Pro model...clean your guns more often and you won't have a problem with them corroding. This is a hell of a deal for this gun any way you look at it.

I personally do not care about adjustable sites on a pocket pistol, I prefer a safety, the mag disconnect is removable, and the standard finish should last a lifetime. Plus all the sites that have the "pro" model for $30 more rape you on shipping or charge a monthly membership fee. Your $30 is more like 25% extra. Only bad thing about the EC9s is the single mag but the factory ones can be found new on eBay for <$15

I'm a cheap SOB but that's a whole lot of work to save not a lot of money. Honestly you have 6 hours invested in researching, buying, filing, etc (not counting the hours you spend bragging and calculating). Too each his own but I'd rather invest my time elsewhere.
