yea its way overpriced, my son owns this one MPR paid around $600? I have the standard version 556 model A2 front sight which at one time were under $500!!! I agree that prices will go back down after the election if the public doesn't flare up stupidity in the streets, fear and prices go up accordingly. if you all are anything like me I kick myself in the ass every morning when seeing prices, lol but hey my collection is worth more now!

I think that the ones that were around 600 were the carbine length, but I could be wrong. These are the MPR rifles with some upgrades over the standard ars with free float. I don’t know what all the differences are or if it’s worth 850 but

It was definitely the 18". A $560 gun that is just superficially inflated to reflect the nonsensical nature of people.

Glad I got this at $660 a few months back! Damn good AR15. Added a magpul bi-pod, magpul K.A.G., offset irons and a Sig scope.

I sure hope so for others wanting to purchase this awesome AR!. My first one was $559, and my second one with the American Flag Cerakote was $610.

It will come down again. I think rep. holds office and if not, guess what, checks and balances. Either way this stuff will normalize. All the fear-mongering doesn't help anything.

Yep. Guns and ammo skyrocketed when Killary was to become President. Then, when Trump surprised everyone and made a fool out of her and the media, purchases slowed and prices dropped. Even put a few businesses out of business. Things normalized then came the Virus. When it is gone and Trump is still president, things will normalize again. But we will still need to get through all the riots that will start November 4th. It will suck living in a city... as it does today.

For those who want actual facts, not some completely unsubstantiated opinion, based on clear lies and political gaslighting, I offer this:
https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2020/07/13/three-million-more-guns-the-spring-2020-spike-in-firearm-sales/...

It clearly shows that gun sales are tied to shootings, and not to Clinton, or anyone else.

It would seem that the truth Trumps trumpers.

Gun sales are tied to shootings only because people are worried about restrictions from lib pols, it even says so in your article. Same reason as to why gun sales go up in election years. While the Immediate rush to by guns might not be as dramatic, the evidence has been obvious for some time. You also can't show causation to shootings because after Vegas, Orlando, and Blacksburg, the 3 deadliest mass shooting in us history, don't show peaks over normative buying fluctuation. How could that be? Probably because the presidency or both houses were't going to do shit about guns at those times. Not to mention that we are seeing unprecedented levels of buying, yet no mass shootings. So much for your theory about shootings.

It would seem that your logic has significant fallacy. Also, using fucking brookings as a neutral data source? Get the fuck out of here. Try NICS instead, https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/nics_firearm_checks_-_month_year.pdf/view....

"Yep. Guns and ammo skyrocketed when Killary was to become President."

Actually they didn't. Prices went up AFTER Trump took office yet you fail again in history.

I miss Obama's $350 AR's and $400 AK's.

"Even put a few businesses out of business."

So that is good? Not true at all but even the lie does not help your narrative.

"Things normalized then came the Virus."

AKA the only nation on Earth to not solve "The Virus" was lead by"...well, I'll let you guess.

Typical Liberal ploy. They have been doing the same to police officers. You have heard about people on the bottom can only go UP? Liberals have defied that logic. They keep lowering their standards every week. Just look at their martyrs. Please show me one that has never road in the back of a cop car. You can't. T-2020

Doofus, the last 3 years have been called the "Trump Slump". Gonna guess why? I'll give you a hint, gun mfg's felt no pressure from the government that there would be any kind of restrictions on guns or ammo. Even with your dreaded "bump stock ban". Things were "normalized" until rona, then the black lies rioters came and fucked everything up. Take yo stank elsewhere.

Prices are UP (pre-Covid) but we are in a "slump?" Record gun purchase but "normalized?" Did you miss supply vs demand in 3rd grade? Lord....I am talking to children. Luckily you kids are too young to vote or buy firearms.

The racism out of left field was a nice touch though, shows how reasonable you are.

The Obama fire sale prices were probably largely due to overproduction caused by speculation of continued panic buying after the 2008 and 2012 elections. Though he wasn't ever able to deliver gun control, he served as great promotion to the gun industry that saw significant growth, to the point that production would periodically out pace demand by a significant margin, ergo $400 Ar's on occasion. 2016 saw an increase in prices that is usually associated with the election year, the Hilary premium. Prices were normalized post 2016 election through 2019, and companies have complaining about the lack of sales up until this year. Production has remained largely flat because of the revenue momentum loss for '16-'17 and manufacturers not wanting to make the same mistakes again; hence the trump slump and a going rate ~$500 for a standard AR. This year thanks to an epidemic and fools like you supporting rioters, we've now seen a major spike due to supply and demand leading to a recent, yet drastic, price increase. Despite this most mfg's are reluctant to take major efforts to increase production fearing the same drop in interest post election. Try to keep up. I'm sure you think of a way to make it all Trumps fault anyway.

I'm sorry that you gleefully eat up all the spoon fed narratives of morons that defend idiot criminals who can't comply with police when they're caught. There's little to be reasoned with there.

It is real amazing to watch someone spin history so hard or fall so deep into a spin doctor's trap. Your diatribe reads like the party line cue card of the week. Next month you will be hating the police again, matching in the street over a Starbucks cup or face covering, etc but this week you preach rule of law when it comes to protests. The Boston Tea Party was a riot that killed cops, soldiers, burned small businesses, killed jobs, and led to war...but you pound your tiny Cheeto at the thought of doing the same. I think you are jealous that these "rioters" do not have to ask mom to stay out after the second street light comes on.
Cute how you think I blame Trump but can't stop calling Obama or Hilary's name YEARS later? When are you going to stop riding that train? How many years does it take the czar to "make America great?"

BTW, why did the gun industry "overproduce" for 6 years straight??? Something is flawed in your timeline.

Like Private, I am done with you. Sorry, ain't got time for trolls and sheep.

Are you retarded? Seriously, I'm asking this not in jest. Because you apparently have another, better, plausible, explanation for gun sales trends over the past 15 years? Obama and Hilary are relevant because I was referencing specific instances in time in which they had relevance. FFS, you're the one that brought up Obama, dumbass.

These dumb motherfuckers are not the boston tea party. They're not "revolutionaries". They're idiots that try to take the side of a criminal, in a criminal act that no one can really justify, that wants to resist arrest, and then are surprised at what happens. I'm sorry that your tiny brain can't differ those two circumstances, but here we are.

The gun industry experienced overproduction not because of the usual mfgs, but because of the vast number of small entities that exploded in the marked after the sunset of the AWB. The AR went from being the bastard step child of nam vets, to the the singular most popular rife, if not firearm in the country. DPMS, BFI, RRA, DD, AM, and PSA, were all nobodies pre sunset, now they're probably more common than colt. You flood the market with new manufacturers, that all see a demand that's there, but customers looking for the best bargain, and you end up with surplus. Post '16 they got wise that surplus always does not equal maximized profit. Simple economics dumb dumb. It's was also one of the cheapest firearms to make; with aluminum receivers, modular nature of the design, little in the way of patent problems, and relatively minimal tolerances for function.

Be gone troll, nobody gon miss u.

Read ANY of these. Where does a single on say gun prices are up? None.
The only reason bump stock prices skyrocketed is because they were going to ban them.
