I was with a few of my friends yesterday at Cecil B Webb shooting range yesterday, never been there before.

This range is part of a Florida state park. A few weeks ago a bird watcher filed a complaint with the park, claiming that a round went over the concrete 50-75' tall enormous berm. For starters, a bird watcher would unlikely be bird watching with all the gunfire, but whatever...

So now, to use the 100-200 and longer ranges, you had to shoot 5 rounds at 100yards to qualify to use the longer range lanes. I saw them qualifying current military and even LEOs. That is as moronic as it gets, and I suspect this bird watcher probably never had a issue and simply a rabid anti gun nut, probably from California.

I spoke to the range official and he agreed it asinine. In fact the 100 yard and longer lanes were closed down for weeks after the lawsuit was filed he told me.

But at the end of the day, at least here in Florida people wouldnt have to qualify with a gun like this Ruger above.
