People will complain about anything but the price is great for what you get. A takedown carbine that takes Ruger or Glock mags, a fluted and threaded cold hammer forged barrel.
Maybe Ruger will come out with a cheap version but until then you get what you pay for and this is a great deal. This is not a no option gun made with cheap parts.

Actually, the Hipoint Carbine is a great rifle. Bought mine the year it came out and still works 100%. Only wish it was a double stack. They have HC mags for them but are way too long. I have had trouble with their pistols, but the rifle has never let me down.

I know there are cheaper carbines but again not with the same features and quality. Most Hi-Points work, and that's about the nicest thing I can say about them. Oh, and they now offer a 10mm carbine.

I got my 556 for 449 from smga there's no way I'd pay anything higher for a fucking 9 mil.

I'm waiting for a few accessories to come out that makes this deer hunting looking gun a bit more tactical looking

Looks like one of those guns that you buy and never shoot it, just leave it in the back of your gun safe.

I shoot mine more than anything with the possible exception of ruger Integgrally suppressed 10-22 takedown.
I shoot weekly on a private range and cost and noise of 556 and 308 isn’t recreational to me at all.

Price needs to come down. You can get a good quality budget AR-556/223 for less than this.

This is a nice little gun. I took mine to the range for the first time yesterday. 300 rounds later using Glock mags I still cannot wipe the smile off my face. Very accurate and very little felt recoil. Only shot at an indoor range. One bad thing is the amount of blowback in your face. Not real fun in an indoor range. I will definitely be shooting it more at my outdoor range than indoors in the future. .
