I finally got the time to go plinking and was able to shoot about 200 rounds thru this R22, let me tell you I was nothing less than impressed! What a great little rifle. Not one failure, even with cheap bulk ammo. It was very accurate at 25-50 yds, and the nice adjustable fiber optic sights made it so easy to get and stay on target during darker, fall afternoons. I said previously that this rifle is "No 10/22" but truth be told I find it very very similar in many ways. From all the positive shooting experience I said above to the action and way it cycles, looks, etc. Other than the stock and magazine, its almost identical. I find the stock on the R22 actually more comfortable than the composite or basic wood stocks found on the 10/22. The other thing I noticed is the weight. Of course it is a "lightweight rifle" you certainly can tell they didnt skimp on barrel and reciever steel. Again, very impressed especially for the price! The ONLY negative is magazine and aftermarket support. It would have been awesome if they used rotary mags like Ruger
p.s. yes my local ffl has them on sale for $99 so I will be buying another there. I wouldnt mind having 3-4 in my safe.

Not really a deal: Academy Sports and Outdoors has it currently at $99 + tax, no added fees for FFL if you pick up in store.

academy has the bolt action for 99, semi for 149...

I hear they are pretty good little knock arounds, I'd get one for a kids gun but would probably step up to a 10/22 carbine with the wood stock, better aftermarket if your into that

Honestly I just got an ad for a local sporting goods store and they will have them for $89.00 on Black Friday.

PMSA charges tax and high shipping anyway, most of us would be better off just waiting for Black Friday and going to your local sporting good chain and grabbing their sale on these for less.

Free floating barrel, fiber optic adjustable sights and a dovetail scope mount all for $109.99? no brainer here! these things are as every bit reliable as a 10/22...

perfect plinkers! great to teach kids and or grandkids proper firearm handling and use. These are great little plinkers, especially at this price. No its no Ruger 10/22 but they are every bit as reliable. It wouldnt be a bad idea to buy a couple of them at this price.

My RS22 eats anything but WWB. It's pinpoint accurate at 50 yards, the sites are very easy to adjust and are clear. It's a great little gun for the price (I got it used/like-new for $120 with 2 mags (one of them is the 25 round Mossberg 702 mag)).
At $109 new this is a steal.

Is there a discount code to knock off another $10? I see $109 price on PSA's site.

I have one; but it’s a Remington I believe; don’t get to shoot it as much as I’d like to; but it’s pretty good. :)
