Terrible company to work with. If you want real reviews don't go to reseller ratings, try reviews.io and read just how bad they are. They sold me a broken SKS and failed to make it right.

Remember, there's no more cheap Russki ammo [7.62x54Rmm] for this, so why would you pay more for this thing than an AR-10 clone that will outshoot it, run on readily available (& reloadable!) 7.62NATO, and be eminently more supportable over the long term w/ spare parts, customization options, etc? This thing needs to sell at 1/2 the price [along with almost everything else Classic Firearms lists as a "deal"] to be worth considering...

The point of owning one is to own a com-bloc military grade DMR or to acquire one for a well rounded collection of firearms in general. I can assure you that the PSL bolt& barrel will out live that of a AR-10.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! I would give them negative stars if I could. Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. After trying to fix an issue I was having the MANAGER of customer service hung up on me, twice. Read below for details.
I took insurance for shipping with the purchase of a PSL 54, and long story short, the rifle is damaged, so I called the customer service of classic firearms to open a claim through Fedex. After a few weeks passed and I had no updates on the claim, I called classic firearms customer service and Elizabeth told me to return the rifle for an exchange, so I was happy and accepted. After no response several days later, I emailed them back to ask about the replacement rifle and Elizabeth told me: we gave you a refund.
So I am really disappointed and decide to call fedex to know the status of the claim, and fedex paid classic firearms the full price of the rifle.
So classic firearms refunded me the money they got from fedex but they still have my first payment for the rifle, and per the policy of fedex claims, me or Fedex should be in possession on the rifle. Since I paid for the shipping insurance, I should be in possession of the salvage rifle and normally I would be, but I’m not, because Elizabeth told me to send it back for an exchange. So they kept my original payment and they have the salvaged riffle.
I called customer service to try to explain the situation, and I spoke with the manager Ashley, but she didn’t understand the scam that classic firearms is playing on their customers behind fedex claims, and she hung up on me, twice, saying "I’m not going to argue with you anymore, bye."
I saved all the documents and recorded all the calls with them and FedEx. These people are so dishonest and I would avoid doing business with them.

Oh my lord talk about shady! I had heard lots of bad things about Classic and this just adds to the list of. I wouldn't give up on this and would continue to fight if it doesn't work out in either you or Fedex getting the money I would post your story if what happened on every single blog in existence.

I wouldn't let JRA build me a LEGO set. Complete idiots with anything AK-related, and terrible cocky attitudes to boot.

I brought this gun 18 years ago USED for $600 for shit and giggles and sold it two years later for $900 when everyone was nervous they would renew the federal assault weapon ban in 2004. This gun isn’t customizable and have very limited accessories. With all the cool and nice accessories available now (vs 18 years ago) for the AR platfrom, I don’t know why anyone would buy this rifle(maybe collectors).I'll say this gun brand new (with scope) should be $800-$900 because it's still a good rifle and works great. $1500 with no scope is crazy.

Thanks, but no thanks

And it can be outshot all day long by a $499 Palmetto AR-10 with a $50 Chinese scope and rings.

While I would like one, I can't spent over 1K on one of these.

I remember as a teen seeing racks of Mosins for $70 each, SKS for about double, spam cans for 50 a pop. In all that dizzying wonderland of cheap combloc, I could never get behind a Romanian PSL. For a long time these were 600, and never felt like quality. For $1500, there are many other better alternatives.

Couldnt agree more. Total rip. This is a $800 gun at best. And as much as I love the round it shoots it certainly aint as cheap as it should be either.
