Sig is not as great as they make themselves out to be (someone below mentioned the m400). RRA have political donations to anti gun lobby. But... My dad bought a used RRA of this model. Had been fired 1000's of times. I went over it in detail. The only problem I found and corrected was it was not staked at the castle nut.

This looks lie a amazing deal in this panic market. I recommended this to a first time AR buyer (but long time shooter) as the best AR value out there right now.

Sig M400 Tread is $30 cheaper. More reputable manufacturer, ambi safety and mag release, extended bolt release, 15" handguard, 1:8 stainless barrel, no A2 anything

...... And you have the stupid pointless rail on the Sig which gives you nowhere to mount a proper front sight.

I don't like RRA, but I hate the m400 tread. If it were the M400 proper like the original at 30 bucks cheaper that would be a steal. The tread needs to be deSiged to be functional.

But its a sig so... at least with rock river you have quality control.

Rock River doesn't believe civilians should own AR's. Don't support these Nazi's! If you don't know what I'm talking about you don't know their history.

RR makes excellent AR's but I don't like 1 in 9 twist barrels, and I suspect this is a heavy barrel contour also, I like light weight contour and 1 in 7,8 twist rifling.

Still have not got my first AR yet, got screwed by Dicks last year and I want to get one before end of year. You guys think there will be a better deal by next week? Most I want to pay is around this price unless there is some super sweet rifle about $800 like last years Troy.

Fantastic deal on a fantastic rifle. Love my RR LAR15. Wouldnt trade it for any Colt on any day. Someone is going to be extremely happy.

It chews through cheap steel ammo just fine. I have put about 1000 rounds of steel ammo through mine without a single FTF or FTE. After about 5000 rounds everything still looks brand new after a cleaning. This is a good weapon for the money.

I ordered mine on sunday 6/16/13 and already got ups confirmation will be delivered to my FFL on 6/21/13, Pretty fast shipping and reliable service from KYGC. My total was $777 which is a very good price for this gun. Ill report how it does with steal on 6/22/13 here if anyone cares to read it.

sry, not yet, wasnt able to shoot yet, but i did learn that the standard barrel nut on the RRA will not work with a troy alpha vtac rail, I gotta install another standard mil spec parrel nut. Ill probly shoot it tuesday to break it in....

I am interested in how you like it. I am also considering this. What else did you buy? 744.99 x 103% = $767. I am worried about slow shipping with a check payment...

I ordered the rifle only, it was 744.99 + 10 shipping insurance + 22 for credit card transaction = 777. it did not give me an option to purchase through any other payment type, and I live in TX so I paid no tax.

oh I see.. I never use the shipping insurance, but it's a good option. hope you enjoy it. i'm going to decide by tomorrow..

I think I read these are a little picky with steel ammo. Anyone know anything on that? Still trying to pick out my first AR

I've put over 1000 rds of the cheepest steel ammo you can find through this rifle, no issues at all. It likes brass too.
