Rock River Arms stuff is grossly overpriced.

Sorry but with the availability of all the 9mm subguns on the market as well as all the parts to build one, this is just not worth the price. Id rather buy an Extar, Scorpion, Ruger Charger, or build my own for 1/2-2/3 the price of this gun and have money left for some good optics, extra mags, ammunition (not that a few hundred bucks will buy much these days)....but still you get my point. Theres just too many solid contenders in the $600-$900 range that are every bit as good as this particular gun. its nothing special..
now of course this is my opinion and I certainly will respect yours, please do the same.

Looks great but the barrel is as long as the flash hider. Why not give it a 6 in barrel??? A 4.5 in handgun barrel is gonna have the same ballistics and its much easier to carry around, so why sell something that just looks cool. Put a 6, 8, 10, 12 barrel on it and this problem is solved.

I am all for lighter more portable builds but the barrel length is the whole reason the gun is effective, so these kind of things bother me. Seems like a bad trade off

I think the barrel length is supposed to appeal to those that would like to suppress it.

That would make more sense. It’s more suppressor friendly than a handgun thats for sure. These are things I never think about since I don’t own a can yet. Maybe one day

Sadly I don't either

Suppressing 9mm ARs reliably is a bit of a chore. You us usually have to get an adjustable buffer and play with the setting until it runs reliably.

You would usually use a booster, AKA Nielson Device to run suppressed, not an adjustable buffer.....

You don’t run boosters on fixed barrels.
