You guys are not comparing apples to apples. You are comparing apples to oranges or bananas.
Read the description. Its a longslide 6" 1911 with rail. Good luck finding a long slide cheaper than this. All domestic made longslide are all custom guns. Nothing less than 3k to get you in.

why? I can buy a springfield range officer for way less
My Para Elite Hunter in 10mm was near this price, after rebate. 6 inch slide, tack driver. But, Para is no more, being liquidated by Remington. Glad I stocked up on mags! I've given this one some thought. Not a bad price.
