Is this model (51431) the CA legal version?
There is no way of telling from the description. Here is what it would take (courtesy of eric4309 on 1911talk.com):
Short answer:
1. It has a positive manually operated safety device (per ATF regs)
2. It meets the firing requirement for handguns. (That is, it fires first 20 rounds without a malfunction and fires 600 rounds with no more than six malfunctions.)
3. It meets the drop safety requirement for handguns pursuant.
4. It has both a chamber load indicator and if it has a detachable magazine, a magazine disconnect mechanism.
Long answer:
Doubt they would ship it to CA if it wasn't legal.
They have new and old rollmarks in stock so you could get either. Maybe you can specify which one you want.
All youtube videos show the above grips, might be an old photo on Grabagun's web site.
Does anyone know if this has the grips shown in the photo or the 'smooth wood grips' mentioned in the description? Hoping for the grips in the photo...
This model number comes with the rubber grips as far as I know. Mine did, but their stock may differ.
Definitely the best price I have seen lately. I have one with probably 800-1000 rounds through it. I've had one FTE- it was very dirty, using TulAmmo, in 25*F weather- I wasn't very upset about that. Absolutely love it.
