Free market I am all for, I run a business, and I am for the First Amendment- *free speech* something you snowflake moon bat flunkies are against. *Commy* comment ? I will use my name and picture here as seen and compare it to your name and the odds of a commy wont be on me. Wow, you have a picture of Trump but zero tolerance for free market? I bet you want him to steer jobs your way regardless of skill, education, or training. You sound like a Commy to me. Plus you think goods in a closet equals actual MONEY. Next time your power bill is due try to pay it using 10 year old buckets of 9mm rounds.

BTW, mic drops are for when you actually say something.....childish insults that sound like Eric Cartman quotes aren't even close.

P.S. you do know an asterisk and a quotation mark are completely different, right? You look pretty stupid when you cannot even use 1st grade punctuation then try to discuss economic principle. Enjoy that up vote sweetie, it will be about as useful as that bucket of bullets or that Trump picture is when your rent is due.

In for 3. Just found out about this site yesterday.

It is brass ammo and the UPC codes are on a peel and stick label on the new buckets at my local Academy. So good to go without cutting up the buckets.

My order shipped. TU to Academy.

It's deffinantly not brass, it's typical shitty medal cased ammo. I wouldn't run this shit in any gun I own.

Brass is a metal...you run that in every gun you own.

It's brass, don't worry about the "metal case" bit on the label that's just what Rem calls their brass ammo.. they're silly like that.

It is definitely brass. I already got some of it. It’s not the cleanest ammo in the world but it’s brass and it’s reliable. My MPX eats this stuff like candy. Just thought I’d share. Happy Thanksgiving

I've bought these exact Remington 9mm range buckets before. It is brass cased ammo.

MIR's are so sketchy! Gambling on ppls laziness to increase profits with shady marketing strategies.

So get even with them by making sure you submit and get your rebate.

Damn...it's like $5.70 per 50!

Last year this time there was a $5 rebate on the 50 packs of the same Remington ammo. Some places had it on sale for $10 per box as part of their doorbusters, so it was only $5 per 50 rounds after rebate.

Last year was a great deal. I think the limit was around 40 boxes too. I've regretted only getting 10 boxes.

I pulled a n00b and only got 20 instead of going the full 40. I don't make those mistakes any more.

What they don't ship to California well this sucks!

I had to call my credit card company cause they shut down my card cause they thought my purchase may have been fraud. If you have Chase they are known to do this very often! U just need to call up your bank and verify that your purchase is legit... Assuming you have the same prob that I just had.

Chase knows I buy a lot of firearm related items. But those 2 pairs of space jams a few years back got declined. Racist bastards.

Free shipping as well. I got 3 buckets.

Damn! I keep trying to checkout with 3 buckets and it keeps telling me the order can't be processed... Hmmmm

Same problem, I'm on the phone with customer service now.

Did you ever get it sorted out? I had the same issue, tried paypal, 2-3 different cards, kept not letting me complete the order, never got any fraud warnings from my cards. I called Academy and they didn't know what the issue was, they just said wait 24-48 hours and try again. Just did that same issue.

I don't think it's the card being rejected, because with both paypal and discover I get a notification the charge was made, then it just sits in "authorization" status so paypal/credit card is authorizing the charge, but Academy is not completing the sale on their end.

It's their website. Your bank put a hold on your card till you confirmed it wasn't a fraudulent charge. Unfortunately, the delay caused by your bank set off "the potential fraud alarm" at academy as well. Every two times you attempt to make a purchase in that account, it stops you from making any purchase for an additional 24 hours. For example: if you try twice, it's a 24 hour lock out. If you try six times, it's a 72 hour wait. If you want to get around it, make a new Academy account with a different email. I did that and used a credit card through a different bank and was able to purchase 3 buckets today while my original academy account is locked out. It took 3 1/2 hours on the phone to get an answer for this issue, but because I was polite and didn't lose my mind on them they are sending out a gift card and a discount code for later use.

Thanks for the update! I thought it might be something like this because my card said things were fine on their end. I didn't think of making a new account if they come back in stock I will just do that. The customer service person I talked to just said it was probably a fraud issue on my bank/card's end. Which as you said might have triggered it but it's also in their system as a hold.

It's good Academy is being proactive on their end against fraud as well, but their customer service people should be able to see that's what's going on easily when people call with that issue as well.

I did finally get this sorted, it took a phone call, a couple online chats, in the end I had to attempt a purchase with a new card, have it rejected, then tell my credit card company to authorize the charge, and then make a new clean account and order. I can honestly say I've never had this much hassle trying to order something in my entire life. It's good Academy has fraud checks on their own end, but they NEED better info returned because they actually prompt you to reload the page and try again, which just keeps you from being able to order that much longer, diving your Academy account that much farther into lockdown. They need to give the user the correct info and guidance when their order doesn't work. To call their credit card company, approve the charge, and try again. If you do what the page says and reload and try again, you get locked out for 24 hours, keep doing what their order error tells you to and who knows how long you'll be locked out.

I've ordered from Academy before and never had an issue. I will say it's nice to have it sorted for the best price possible, but I really wish I'd have just paid the $15 extra at Natchess for 3 buckets and completed the sale in less than 5 minutes.

And after all that, they cancelled the order this morning

And do you need to cut into the plastic bucket to get the UPC?

They have special buckets for this deal with UPC stickers on them! I just picked up 3 at my local Academy. No need to cut the buckets.

Good to know, thank you for the update.

Good catch and question. Yes, you will have to cut the bucket. The UPC is printed directly on the plastic bucket. It is not on a sticker. (at least on the identically packaged Remington 350rd 9mm buckets I bought last year that I just checked)

0 votes

No! Lol I am assuming there is a sticker that has the UPC on it, or there are certain rules that apply to this specific item, as there would be NO way they would possibly require you to cut into plastic.

0 votes

Unfortunately, there's no sticker. (Unless they changed the packaging since last year.)

You have to carefully use a jigsaw and saw out the UPC, making sure not to cut off any of the digits of the UPS number... ;)

The rebate states that you must include the original cash register receipt and the original UPC code. Since there isn't a cash register receipt when you order online, can you not get the rebate?

0 votes

FWIW, it hasn't been a problem for online orders with prior Remington rebates on ammo that had the same wording on the rebate form. I wouldn't expect this one to be any different.

Thanks, that's good to know.

0 votes

How long does it take to get the rebate back

0 votes

2-3 months but if you do the electronic form at the Remington web site it goes faster. I have been doing these rebates for years and they always go through eventually

thank you got one!
guess it's crazy cheap.
