I saw this and checked to see if similar models were also on sale, ended up getting a stainless long range for $100 more (not from Cab's). Great deal with the rebate. Everyone likes to say the cartridge is a barrel burner but I don't think any of these people have ever owned a rifle in the chambering.

Owned one, no, I know better...this and a 264 mag cook barrels quicker than any other cartridge I know of.
I have rebarreled quite a few and rechambered (after cutting barrel down) quite a few more.
After 100 rounds use a borescope and check the throat/leade area, then you'll understand.
I'm a gunsmith, it's what I do.

Good rifle but a barrel burner cartridge.
It MIGHT last for 1000 rounds but only expect to get 500 rounds before the throat is cooked out of it.
