Same deal as two years ago for $349(with rebate). Great gun, horrible scope. But well worth the money. I got the 308 last time and might grab a 223 this year!!

Update on the rebate. Mine has been sitting in limbo @ a PO in Pittsburgh since the 26th, undelivered. Called the number on the rebate form to find out that the Pittsburgh address is their old address, and all their mail is being forwarded to:

PO Box 22092
Tempe, AZ 85285

So you might want to send your rebate directly to that address and cut out the middleman.

It looks like the best I can hope for is that if it doesn't get forwarded or claimed in 15 days, it'll be returned to me. Only caveat to that is that it won't be back in time to be resubmitted before the Dec 8 cutoff date, so if need be, I'll send it with the original envelope and an explanation (and crossed fingers).

Another word of caution for those of you who bought this rifle. Just sat down and finally read my rebate form (wasn't real interested in doing that at 3am). Anyways, the rebate for states that the rebate is only valid on purchases made b/w 5am and 2pm 11/23/12. I bought my rifle at 1:46am by the cash register receipt. I hope this doesn't cause any issues, and common sense would indicate that most if not all of these rifles were sold well before 5am.

Just thought I'd throw that out there, with a reminder to keep all your paperwork copies, and be prepared to raise the issue at your local Dicks should they deny your rebate. The rebate was the only real reason I bought this gun, the ad states nothing about there being time constraints on the rebate, and I didn't get my rebate form until the 4473 was filled out and the gun was bought and paid for.

Fingers crossed all works out.

Just got back from picking one of these up in .223. Took about 2 hours from start to finish, which I didn't think was bad all things considered. Just got it home and unboxed. Word of caution, this gun has the XMark trigger, but it does NOT have the external weight adjustment screw. I didn't realize there were two versions of this trigger floating around, one with the adjustment and one without. Kinda disappointed about that, but from what I've read online, the XMarks aren't all that spectacular anyways, and I'll probably eventually replace it with something else.

Then again, this reply might fall on deaf ears anyways, since when I left my Dick's only had one 22-250 left after about an hour. Rough guess, they had 6-7 of these guns TOTAL, 2 in .223, one in .22-250, one in .243, and I think 3 in .308.

Got the same deal last year in 308 win. The Stock is a molded synthetic stock with a wide base in the front, two sling/bipod studs in the front and a decent cheek rest. The stock has a Mossy Oak print. It came with Leupold mounting bases and a very basic Remington Branded 4-12x40mm scope. I think I read that the scope was a rebranded Tasco. It isn't bad, it just isn't up to par for this rifle. This rifle deserves a better scope. I've moved the scope to a 22 Rifle and it isn't bad for that application. Still, the rifle itself is worth more than $349.00.
