Pretty much all .22 ammo deals at Cabellas are bad if you have to pay shipping and average if you can easily pick-up at a store. Either way if there is a Cabellas in your state you also have to pay sales tax and usually that is above the state average because Cabellas makes funding incentive deals with the States to open stores and employee way more people than they ever will in reality to be paid back by an excess sales tax %. But for the past 2 years they have been the most reliable supplier of .22 ammo which has value despite the limits of 1. Cabellas is a greedy hedge fund operation not a family business so everything is about cost cutting and markups, shipping is a very profitable hidden cost, kind of like airline baggage fees. The real question is what are the manufacturers up to that they can not catch up on .22 ammo to some reasonable level???

As of Thanksgiving Weekend, it's 0.07/8$ a round (depending on tax) plus free-shipping. Doesn't get better than that, and the cheapest on the internet right now. Can't dislike for a deal like this.

This ammo has been on here for two plus weeks. Limit 1 on 50 ct box ? I would think that Cabellas would let some bricks go as they did awhile back. Unless you are out of 22 ammo DO NOT BUY. Wait for CCI at nearly same price per round, or use as a filler to reach 49 dollars for free shipping. Rio 12 GA 9 pellet buckshot- 5 pack for $2.29 also a good filler.

Does anyone use the free ship-to-store option? If so, how long can you leave a purchase before picking it up? Shipping makes this a horrible deal, but if I could stack up a month's worth of 50 rd purchases, and go get them at one time, it would be a lot more worthwhile.

I called them and asked that question. 2 weeks.

Two weeks.

That's what I do. Just let them stack up. I'd check the shelf at the store too when you go. Sometimes they'll have some cheaper boxes that haven't sold yet. You'll get a call telling you how long they'll hold your purchases. I think it's like 1 month. Good luck to you.

I've gone 2 or 3 months between store pickups. Just call the store and make sure it is ok.

Another horrible deal for 22. Is this site run by Cabella's now?

yea this deal is bad 50 rounds for $3.99 - .08 cents a round but Cabelas has some great deals like remington golden bullets 525 pack for $24.99 was $23.99 but with shipping it is .06 cents a round

I buy these for family members because they're okay with the price and picking them up at the store. I've read the golden bullets leave little gold flakes in your gun. Does that usually happen to you guys?

yea they leave some gold flakes that's the brass coating they put on them ,they are more dirty then the federal or cci but i clean the gun after each range trip never had any trouble with the golden bullets for that price of .06 cents shipped.

Let me start by saying I only buy these single 50 round boxes because I live about 2 miles away from a Cabela's in Minnesota.

What I am experiencing now is the fact that other boxes I bought are "backordered". Has anyone else experienced this with Cabela's? I don't understand, besides the fact that they now have my money, why they are selling ammo that they may not have.

what happens they get so many orders coming in .then when they start to process them first ordered they run out and put the others on back order .,Cabelas will fill your order it happened to me before, and it will not let you order when it is sold out, so you got your order in .Gander Mountain cancels your order if this happens .was instock when i orderd them Gander does not back order no more . Cabelas does not charge your card until the item ships.the charge you see is a pending charge .to see if you have available credit that charge is put off to the side .

I have had that happen on a couple of orders and as far as ive seen they don't charge your card till it ships

Thanks for the info. I checked it out and they only charged me for some other things I ordered but have yet to charge for the ammo. Kind of strange how they split the payments like that. I could see someone getting an overdraft fee in this sort of situation if they weren't careful.
Thanks again

Thanks to your local retired OFWG, you CAN buy 22LR "all day long". Just go to the weekend gun show, and next to the jerky tent, he'll sell it to you gladly, all day long, for $100/brick.

Ripoff? Horrible deal? Nope. That's just the market price right now.

Now it only shows sub-sonic ammo for all Remington 22LR

So where in Texas can I go buy these all day long at 5 cents or any other price for that matter?

Try this site exammo.com Prices are what suppliers are driving them at, but there is no limit and decent selection and you can order them have them shipped. 50 round box 4.95 (so not too bad). The bricks are better deal at $44.95. If you are going to do it buy more to offset shipping cost.

This Delrod should be sterilized to prevent further pollution of the gene pool! I think his supplier is none other than his local Wal-Mart, just look at what he has & it's obvious:

Fed Champion 9mm 115gr FMJ 100 ct $39.95 - $26ish @ WM
Fed Champion 45ACM 230gr FMJ 100 ct $44.95 - $36ish @ WM
S & B 9mm 115gr FMJ 100 ct $19.95 - $12ish @ WM

Without delving too deep into his "decent selection" of Rimfire & his "not so bad" prices, lemme just say this: the only thing better than his $44.95 brick deal would be a if it was proceeded by nice rusty I-beam to open up the orifice before the final push up the hinder.

yea exammo i looked at your site and every 22 lr ammo you are selling i bought for half that price online .now why would anyone pay 2 times as much at your site then other retailers. i do not pay over .08 cents a round shipped that is cci mini mags 100 round box that is the top.i bought many 22 lr ammo this past year.the federal 525 pack you have listed for $59.99 on sale for $49.99 i bought that same box for $24.99 why would i pay you double that price.

Don't waste our time with your viral advertising. Even for your "economy" 22lr and WITHOUT shipping, your prices are about 10 cents per round. Go F. And with your shipping rates, prices go up near 20 cents per round. For that, you can kindly UCK yourself.

7 cents per round for Remington Golden is a horrible deal. You can buy these all day for less than 5 cents.

I normally have no complaints about Cabela's other than these items with a limit of one. But somebody's getting sloppy. On the gun.deals page you see a 50 round box of Rem Golden Bullet 22s. The Cabela's page shows a 525 round box of Rem Brass Plated Hollow point 22s. I've seen this a few times recently.

Nowhere does it say this is either only a 50 round box or that there is a limit of one. I entered a quatity of 10 and clicked submit. THEN I got the red text message that there is a limit of one, which added to S/H of $8.95 completely kills this deal.

They run that picture for all the REM in that catagory. And on the buy line it does state quantity one, number of rounds 50.
They also tell you at the top of the ad that there is a limit of one due to demand. Most people are only buying this as a filler item with another purchase. .22 is just a hard round to keep in stock right now.
