I'll never trust a Remington rebate. Black Friday 2017 I stocked up on 3 buckets of ammo with rebate. Sent in my receipt , kept checking the status, read online that they were trying to file for bankruptcy or something like that. Well I guess they stiffed us so they could keep floating
I've received every rebate I sent in. Granted it took almost 6 months, but I got it.

What’s up with Remington these days are they still in a freefall nose dive or have things turned around quality wise?
My 1911 R1 had nose dive issues with hollow points. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the finish on the feed ramp was kind of rough and was blued like the rest of the gun. I polished the ramp up with some rouge and a mini buffing wheel and it has performed flawless since.
I own this gun. It's an exceptional pistol. Whatever QC issues Remington has hasn't seemed to affect their 1911 lines. Can't speak for the retailer, but the pistol is great.
I have had no problems with Remington 1911's. I have purchased both the .45 ACP and 9mm Enhanced 1911's (from Grab-a-gun) and have been very happy with the seller and the guns. The Remington 1911's seem to be very well made. Beautiful guns, no machine marks, good finish. My slide to frame fit is tight & there is no rattle when you shake them. Both function flawlessly.

GragAGun is one of the worst online firearms retailers out here. Check the BBB , YouTube and stop posting these crooks ads.
Bought this pistol last year. Outstanding firearm. There's a good chance you can get it a hair cheap with black friday or veterans day rebate from remington like I did.
This is a nice price. I picked up one of these several weeks ago for about $90 more. The fit and finish on mine is excellent. Good trigger also.

Beware, they will screw you: just ordered 4 scorpion mags and a tapco AK mag for the heck of it. CTD canceled my scorpion mags but simultaneously have them on their site for $5 more than what I just ordered. Called to cancel the AK mag and said I can't cancel order, so i just paid $17 for one $9 magazine. Would not let me add 4 cz scorpion mags at "new higher price" to original order either. Would have to pay shipping again. Last time I give them my business.
If only this model was eligible for the $75 rebate!

They have multiple warehouses. There was one available at $599, somebody bought it.

I received my rebate for a different 1911 without any problems. I did try to order this gun. When I added it to my cart on Grabagun the price was different. I sent an email and they said it was a mistake and the IT department was looking into it. They wouldn't honor the price.
