What are the thumbs down for? $450 for a quality 1911 (after rebate) is a steal. Just picked one up.
In my opinion R1 is a excellent 1911, at least mine has been!
Grab a gun had the Springfield loaded model not long ago for the same money. Much better deal than this. Not overly impressed with the Remington of today.
I have the stainless model. Love it. Accurate and fun to shoot.
Love mine. Accurate. Trigger could be better for a 1911 but for a series 80 under $600 have no complaints
Wished I'd have grabbed one when they were $599....
I bought this gun on 05/17/2017 and I got an e-mail from Remington today saying my rebate has been approved and check is on the way. Great deal on a very nice 1911.
This gun is pretty solid. I was going to go Kimber but decided against it since they cost too much. This gun is just as bad ass at putting bullets down range.
Purchased a couple weeks ago. Cleaned and took out for the first time last weekend. Had some trouble chambering the first couple rounds. After that, no issues out of 50 rounds. The adj. rear sight was way off out of the box; however, after turning it about 8 clicks it was right on the bullseye. I'm pretty happy with my purchase.
No better, nor worse than any other. Great time to buy a R1
Hmm.. just a month ago GRABAGUN posted price were $100 cheaper before rebate comes out. Now the price went up to adjust for rebate?!!! Another ass price gouging company. Should die off pretty soon aint you Grabashit!
Tell Obama that you are a Mexican Drug Lord, and he’ll send you a truck load of fully automatic guns and rifles, instead of trying to buy them like the rest of us
Probably thinking about the Remington 1911 R1 not the enhanced
I ordered on Wednesday and picked it up on Thursday. I have 300 of my reloads down range with it today. Flawless and a really good looking gun, well built. It is a pleasure doing business with Grab-A-Gun. This is my second gun purchases with GAG and I will continue doing business with GAG. Remington Arms was smart relocating gun manufacturing to Alabama.
I've also purchased two firearms from GAG. I agree that it is a reputable merchant
I have this gun and have been more than happy with it. At this price it is a steal.
I have done Remington rebates in the past with no issues.
Anyone have issues with an online purchase and getting the rebate from Remington?
trying to buy a 1911 is starting to be the hardest thing I've ever done so many decisions!!!!!!
With a name such as “1911”, you should had known that it was going to be a difficult picking decision, that’s about how many different 1911s are out there to choose
Not really.
If you want american production by the remington or the smith.
If you want an import buy a rock island or tisas.
What ever you buy just make sure you run it with decent mags.
