Pay with 20% off gift cards and use aj and it's about .25/round. I've received every Remington rebate I've ever sent, and I've done many. I'm meticulous though, and make copies of submissions. I hear you though. Last time I got in on this deal I ended up paying like .13/round, which is super slick. This is kind of "meh"

Still $0.40 a round after dealing with rebate forms, cutting upc and hoping that you get your rebate makes this a pass. Normal buckshot is normal buckshot really not that much difference in my experience.

With a picky semi-auto, quality shells make a huge difference in feeding. Rem Express feeds reliably for me.

*AFTER* the MIR, this still comes to $10/bx of 25, which is what you should be paying for promo buck anyway [given that a promo box of target is ~$7.] So not a "run home & tell everyone" great deal, but *if* the MIR is still in effect [see warning post below] & you have some Cabela's discount GCs from eBay, then a worthwhile offer...

Warning post below is from 2016. This rebate is good through 7-30-17.

With the 20% of gift cards, free shipping, and rebate, this would come out to .27cpr for me. Last year it was $50 off a box of 100 (max of 4 boxes), and after rebate with free shipping (no discounted gift cards used) I paid .32cpr. So this is less of a deal than last year if you don't keep a few of the discounted cards around (.40cpr without cards)...

$20 hazmat fee? Had some primers in the order. Removed them and the fee disappeared. I guess it is more safe to ship ammo then it is primers?

Them's the rules. You can ship powder & primers together [which just seems like a bad idea no matter how you say it] under one hazmat fee, but primers are explosives, whereas integral cartridges are just ammunition. Go figure...

BE AWARE......

THROUGH 4/30/16

Along with the other details...

"VALID ON PURCHASES MADE FROM 4/14/16 THROUGH 4/30/16.

ALL REQUESTS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY 5/21/16".

This deal is officially DEAD (or will be soon if on anything but EST)!

Went to my local Cabela's today and picked up a 100 pack of the 00 Buckshot.
Wanted to try it through my 1974 Model 37 Ithaca.
Opened the the package when I got home and found what looked like silicon balls inside all the boxes.

Found an old thread on NYFirearms relating to the issue.

After seeing what it did to the gun in that thread, I'm not going to try it.
The guy posted that thread over two years ago.
You would think Remington would have figured this out by now.
I posted a pic in that thread to show what it looks like.

This is brand new ammo, from a recently opened Cabela's.
I'll give Remington a call tomorrow. and see what they have to say.

Received my Ammo today. Inspected each shot shell (After reading the above story), tapping each one against the table to see if it would loose any of that salt-like substance upon my table, and very little fell off, maybe a grain or two per box. My batch seemed to be fine.

Well, I screwed up and sent the rebate in today with only the 100 round UPC. It wasn't until I read here to make sure to send in the 25 round UPCs as well did I re-read the rebate form, and sure enough, I messed up, musta read the form a half dozen times but missed that part. I sent an email through the remington.rebateaccess.com website asking them what I should do (and I’ll give them a call if I don’t hear back within a week), hopefully I just have to mail in the remaining UPCs. It'll be a bummer if I miss out on getting 50 bucks back, it will be my own fault, but it will be the last time I buy something I don't need just b/c it's a good deal after the rebate if I'm not able to get it sorted.

There's a few authorized resellers. Those are the only gift cards I buy.

I just got my $200 rebate yesterday from the 2015 Black Friday rebate deal. I only sent in the four 100pack UPC codes. Late Jan they sent me a letter saying it was incomplete and wanted the 16 25pack UPC codes. This is a good deal if you send it in correctly in the first place.

Also be careful buying Cabela's gift cards online. Why? I bought many in the past. Two years ago I got 5 letters from Cabela's saying the gift card I purchased was the product of a stolen credit card. A thief used a stolen credit card, bought Cabela's merchandise, returned it for a gift card, then sold it to Cardpool, who then sold it to me. It takes about 2 months for them to realize the gift card was bad. You have to then pay Cabela's the amount. I got my refund from Cardpool, but in the end there was no discount.

That's a BS demand by rebate company to require the UPCs from the 16 25-packs. You provide a receipt for 100pack boxes and if you provide the 100pack UPCs that should be the end of requirement.

There is absolutely no indication that you have to also send the 25 packs UPC's when you purchase the 100 packs. It's just a dishonest added complication to try to have less people claim the rebate by having time go by and possibly have them toss the 25 pack boxes at the range and then be unable to claim the rebate. Scummy outfit and practice and reflects poorly on Cabelas.

However, I was just about ready to send in my 2 100-pack UPCs so I guess I'll include the 25 packs also. Thanks much for the warning.

It indicates on the rebate form that you have to include all the boxes. I'm assuming it's to discourage the boxes from being resold separately.

Here is the link for submitting the rebate online:
https://remington.rebateaccess.com/promotion.php?p=65141...

The UPC of the product is among the ones on that page under "Express Buckshot Loads" (the very last one): 047700019505, 047700019604, 047700019703, 047700019802, 047700019901, 047700020204, 047700320601, 047700336503, 047700500201, 047700513904, 047700514048.

I just bought a box of 100 shells in-store at Cabela's and they charged me $84.99. I found my box randomly stuffed into an unmarked slot in the shotgun shell section at the Az store and I asked an employee to help me find the regular display because I wanted to buy 2 boxes. He could not find them anywhere. Still a good deal after the rebate but maybe the sale is only online. Purchases must be made by 4/30/16 according to my receipt. Get yourself some gift cards from ebay (I did not use them so I can not vouch for their authenticity) and go to town. This is a fantastic deal!!

There's an eBay seller who occasionally sells cabelas gift cards for 20%off face value. You can buy up to five $50.00 cards for 200.00 total.

Activejunky.com gives 10% cash back for clicking through their website.

So.
$80x4=320
- 32.00 activejunky.com cash back
-50.00 cabelas gift card savings
-200 rebate

Total final cost is 38 bucks. /400= about 9.5c per round

The rebate form listed is incorrect. The correct rebate form is this one: http://www.remington.com/sites/default/files/rebate/file/Rem%20Long%20GunsAmmo_Form%20_11.20.pdf...

You are incorrect. http://www.remington.com/sites/default/files/rebate/file/160048_TaxLongForm_fnl.pdf... is the rebate you want.

If you look at the bottom of the rebate form, both the rebate you listed, and the one I listed have the same rebate number, indicating that Remington just modified the terms of the original rebate, but didn't remove the old rebate from their website.

I never received my rebate so I contacted Remington to find out they have nothing to do with the rebates. It's a third party. I contacted the rebate company and they claimed they never received it. I emailed them my copies of the form and all the upc's. They then took about two more weeks to let me know that they found my originals. In all it took 4 months for me to get my money.

As with every rebate I've done, (and I've done about a hundred and fifty since 2013) I read the rules, scan copies of everything I submit, and keep a pdf backup of everything. If I notice it's been a while since I submitted, I contact the rebate company. I've had a 100% success rate and never had any problems from remington.

If you're gonna count on rebates, organization is your friend.

****EDIT***

CRAP! If I'd held off. I could have bought 400 rounds for 9.4 cents per round thanks to the free shipping code.

Would you please share how to get it for 9.3 cents per round?

Thanks.

Guys make sure you mail the upc from the Outter box AS WELL AS all 4 from the Inner boxes. That tripped me up when they ran this promo back on Black Friday. Good news is they honored it.

I screwed up and only sent the (4) 100 pack upcs back in December but have not heard a single word since? Did they make you submit the other upcs? Or how did you resolve this? Thanks

The "deal" part of me wants to do this bad, but after Remington has denied me on 2 rebates now even though I had everything, I think I'll pass. It's amazing how rebate companies can find reasons to deny you and the manufacturers say it is not us, it's "them".

Good deal. Just bought 300 rounds and will only pay about 11.7 cents/round after rebate, cash back, and using discounted gift cards. Insane deal.

IT IS NOT A CABELLAS's REBATE. It's a Remington rebate. It's $50 from any supplier from November 20 through November 30. Sportsmens Guide has them for $77 and the $50 rebate from Remington still applies.

Careful everyone. I just got bent over by Remingtons rebate company. I ordered two boxes of 100 to get the max $25 rebate per box. SG sent me 8 individual boxes. Same thing right? Nope. $50 rebate denied, just got $10. No matter who I talked to I got the same bullsh*t response. No more Remington rebates, and actually, no more Remington at all. Remington and Sportsmans Guide suck dog!

I took it to the top with the rebate company, Remington, and Sportsmans Guide. They all told me to go pound sand. Not much left to do but warn everyone and for me to not buy Remington products.

Cheaper at Palmetto even with shipping. 65.50 shipped for 100 or 122.50 shipped for 200 rounds. The rebate is good for up to 200 rounds.

PSA rarely gets good ammo deals. I wish they do more sales on ammo because they give out some crazy deals on firearms.

Thanks for the heads up! Also no tax from Palmento for most people, but almost every state probably has a Cabelas. Wow after rebate it is like 40cents per shell. That is a great deal, I am assuming Remington makes good buckshot.

I rescind my "up" vote which I don't even remember doing & don't know why I would have. I absolutely hate MIRs. BTW, why is the ejection port on the wrong side of the shotgun? :)

1 vote

you folks do know that you can get a flat of estate, spartan or armscor delivered for this kind of money, before rebate, if you shop around more than a little bit, I think J&G had the Spartan for $60/flat last month
And the ejection port is on the proper side! cant help it if most folks buy aack bass word guns that spit empties out the wrong side...
only left handed people are of right mind :P

The rebate company they use is bogus. Horrible customer service, lady I spoke with had a seriously bad attitude. Will not buy Remingtons again based on rebates.

I'll pass.

OK, but I still have not received my last $25 rebate from them, from 4 months ago. Tracking says it was sent....
