25% more powder capacity approximately 300 feet per second faster than 223 556
It's a super hard sell.
500% the cost of the 223/556, same caliber, *fairly close velocity, 6.8 magazines required.
I don't know a ton of guys slinging $1.20 per shot through a 'budget' rifle - essentially to shoot just 500 rounds you have already spent as much on ammunition as you would on the rifle.
At this price you could essentially pick any other AR caliber and almost always find one more suited for any application. I guess at least it adds some value to my 6.8 mags
Not a bad price but if you're going to use it for anything other than hunting, like frequent target shooting, it's really going to hurt the wallet.
Hey, I have a plan! Let's reinvent the AR to shoot a proprietary .22 round, which costs at least 3x to 4x what 5.56 costs, and requires a proprietary magazine, as well! THEY WILL FLY OFF THE SHELVES!
