Note: 80% Lower Receivers, Frames, and Kits may only be returned in new, unmodified condition.
The Radical Firearms Premium 80% AR-15 Lower Receiver is a quality beginning to any build. These lowers are constructed from 7075 aluminum with a type III anodized hard coat finish for durability and offer high quality features. This Radical Firearms receiver boasts a heavy duty trigger guard machined into the lower for optimal durability and strength. The performance of your rifle will be enhanced with the reinforced pivot pin and magazine well to aid in loading. Purchasing an 80% lower leaves many tasks to complete before your firearm is fully operational and this lower is no different. To further customized the operation of the rifle you must install a fire control group. This lower has no fire control group pocket cut or any fire control group holes drilled. Meaning this is not a complete receiver and still requires machining to be done. You will also need to select and install a trigger pin, hammer pin, trigger slot and safety selector to complete the lower receiver. It truly leaves you with a lot of options to customized and design the firing capabilities of your new AR-15.

Maybe I'm dumb but I don't understand why an 80% costs the same or more as a finished receiver.

Why would you pay MORE for something that requires extra work and the manufacturer completely bypassed the entire gun process on (which saved them a crap ton of money)? And forget the 'I want to make it my own' crap. Either you are a felon or scared of the gubmint knowing you have guns. If it is the latter, just buy a used lower.

used lowers are all over internet classifieds, you might even get a free stock and LPK.

I wish buying a used lower receiver was more feasible, it sounds much easier that completing an 80%er. Unfortunately, used lowers are a unicorn where I live. Can you recommend some classified sites that might offer a greater chance of finding a used lower?

Not sure what state you live in but there are several good sites in NC such as https://www.carolinashootersclub.com/... which have gained popularity since armslist.com started charging a monthly fee for classified listings. You of course won't find many stripped lowers but you should find plenty of people selling assembled lowers which come ready to assemble.

Not like the "gubmit can't know I have a gun" crowd overlaps much with the "I have to have a custom trigger job, anti walk pins, and specific buffer weight" market.
