Worst brand I have ever owned. Radical is proof not anyone can build an AR.

When did you buy it and what went wrong with it? They did have some quality control issues early (outsourced some cheap parts). Without knowing details, it doesn't necessarily reflect this company correcting its early mistakes.

My first experience with a radical firearms upper was negative. I tried multiple lowers, ammunition types, steel, brass, etc. And kept getting double feeds on my 10.5" 5.56 Radical upper. I contacted radical, sent it back on their dime and they returned it later. Whatever mojo they worked did it and it functioned fine after that. They smoothed out my feeding ramp and replaced the BCG. Even after that hassle I am still willing to give them a chance because their products are made in the USA, the warranty is great and my experiences go back over 2 years ago.

Radical is solid especially for the price. I hear horror stories online but not from anyone I know who actually has one.

"I know a guy, who met someone at the range, whose roommate had a Radical. The rifle killed 9 goldfish and got his mom pregnant. "

That is how most anti-Radical stories go.

I love mine. First AR i bought years ago. Great build and quality. I can't recommend them more as an entry level, budget friendly, complete rifle.

anyone who comes on here and states "steer clear" of ______ firearms, crap company, junk, etc etc is a complete troll if they do not give a reason and or example as to why they say the negative things they say happened to them personally. If they dont have a reason to back it uo, then screw off...

I think the whole thing about it is that 4,5 years ago when they first got in the business, they had quality issues because they outsourced a lot of cheap parts. But i heard some investor or something happened and now the quality is up because most if not all are made in house now. I got one myself for low $500 a month ago and its awesome. But I totally get it if you ever received a lemon, how you'll be negative towards that brand forever. Mine is Canik TP9 SC. It was my first piece and it had constant light primer strike issue. Bang, click no bang every 5 rounds this would happen. I'm never buying another Canik nor Turkish import ever again in my life.

"I think the whole thing about it is that 4,5 years ago when they first got in the business"

Huh? My first Radical was from 2011-2012 and they had years of history at that point. Might want to adjust your sundial.

I thought that Radical started business in 2013?

I bought one last month and my only complaint so far is the mil spec trigger. I replaced it with a Rave...much better.

I picked this rifle up from another seller, so far I'm pleased with it. Mine was cheaper, but you gotta take what you can get right now. Ain't much in this price range that's going to be better...

Just email these fools and ask them about .223 ammo. AR's love .223 but this gun will not use this ammo. In fact, it likes only certain 5.56. This is the worst AR I own by far. Crap!

I have never heard of a "5.56" AR15 that will not shoot .223. Now if the rifle is chambered for .223 they cannot shoot 5.56 safely. If you actually do have an issue shooting .223, first Id like to know exactly what happened when you ran .223 thru it? The ONLY real problem one may encounter is an out of spec headspace. Other than that I just dont see there being a problem with the ammo itself.
I buy AR's chambered in .223 wylde just to have much better and tighter tolerances which in turn creates a more reliable and accurate rifle/pistol. The .223 wylde sit in the "middle of the road" and cycles .223&5.56 with tighter headspacing, proper chamber pressures and other tolerances. Just look them up online for exact benefits. I have always had literraly perfect running rifles when in this spec.

Would stay clear of Radical. Guns are not to spec and dangerous!

I also own one of their guns (20" Grendel, stainless barrel). Initially had a cycling problem with lower power (wolf) ammo. Put it in the safe for a couple weeks with the bolt locked to the rear to break in that recoil spring a bit, no problems since. The screws that hold the handguard on got some surface rust the first time they were wet, which seems not a big deal for a budget firearm. Otherwise it is solid, and shoots MOA with good ammo.

Interested to hear why you make the claim. I’m only asking because I’m watching this item and considering the purchase. How has the firearm failed you?

Most AR's are milspec. Not great but not bad and usually work fine. If it was dangerous, I seriously doubt they would be selling it. Also, if someone has a complaint, they should list what it is instead of some stupid bull where they don't even spell "their" correctly!-:)

I suspect either a gun snob/fan of another brand, or someone trying to steer buyers clear so he can get one himself

You can't go wrong with radical firearms. Lifetime warranty backs them up. I've never had a problem with mine in the few years ive had it. It's got under 1,000 rounds but i couldn't find a better gun for the price then and you'd be hard pressed to find a better gun in the $500 range. $600 for today's dollar is fair if its in stock and can ship quickly.

That's strange. I have a radical firearm AR in 762 and that thing's been nothing but a champ.
