FEATURES
The PSAK-47 GF3 was designed from the ground up to be a new standard in AK-47 rifles, utilizing all new precision manufactured parts.  Thoroughly tested in development, we tortured tested to 10,000 rounds to ensure a quality product.  Not to be satisfied with just a good AK-47, we kept improving and now are proud to announce our PSAK-47 Gen3 Hammer Forged (GF3) rifle with a hammer forged bolt, carrier, and front trunnion.
The 4150 barrel is nitride treated for accuracy and durability and is pressed into a new hammer forged front trunnion to ensure the longevity AK-47s are known for.  The hardened steel 1mm receiver features a mil-spec style single hook trigger, and side rail mount.  The front trunnion and bolt carrier are engraved with GF3 to designate the GF3 hammer forged model.  The rifle is finished with a Magpul polymer handguard, Magpul Zhukov stock, and Magpul AK-47 polymer grip; Rifle ships with 30 round magazine (where allowed by law).

700 bucks was borderline acceptable for this, 850 is just too much for a rifle that might have issues.
I like Palmetto- but I'm going to put a pause on giving them money until they fix their QC and go back to reasonable prices.

check out the youtube reviews by people having multiple firing pins breaking on their gf3 ak, this is not a 850 gun by any means

Is there a reputable PSA AK in the $700 price range?

no all the psa aks are iffy, the only thing going for them is their lower price compared to zpap or wasr but in my mind its not worth the saving 150 bucks or so, if you buy spare firing pins you should be fine with the psa

Not saying it has never happened but I've owned 5 PSA AK's over the years and currently still have 2; this broken firing pin problem has yet to happen to me.....or any other failure for that matter. 1-2 threads on reddit and suddenly guns are exploding after the first 2 shots or described as "iffy" with no real life accounts backing that determination up.

BTW, you are comparing this gun to a price point that does not currently exist and even when you could buy a non-PSA AK for $700, it was an I.O. It has been YEARS since any 'pap' or WASR was even close to that price. Heck, until 2019 you could get a blem PSA AK for $499.

Moral of the story? Buy a spare $14 firing pin, that you'll never use, if it helps you sleep at night.

By the by, this isn't even a Sale Price! Why is it listed here?

PSA just gets more and more greedy! No more REAL Sales, rare free shipping, continually rising prices, internet taxes (not their fault) all add up to breaking my bad PSA habit. I guess I should thank them. Sucks though - used to love sending them my money. No more!

I remember the bolt carriers ran for about 49.99 now the basic one runs at about 99 bucks WTH! I look back at my purchases and totaled over 5k over 2 year

Good AK but PSA getting really Greedy! New taxes (not their fault) bad enough, but they seem to have minimized free shipping and real sales while continually raising prices. And for some reason every time I do business with them my credit card gets hacked within 8 weeks. It's happened so many times now that I've been able to narrow them down to common denominator. Methinks there's a fox in their digital henhouse!

Does this have a rail for a red dot?

You would need to ATTACH a rail, "install" makes it sound more than a 15 second process.
