FEATURES
The PSAK-47 GF3 was designed from the ground up to be a new standard in AK-47 rifles, utilizing all new precision manufactured parts.  Thoroughly tested in development, we tortured tested to 10,000 rounds to ensure a quality product.  Not to be satisfied with just a good AK-47, we kept improving and now are proud to announce our PSAK-47 Gen3 Hammer Forged (GF3) rifle with a hammer forged bolt, carrier, and front trunnion.
The 4150 barrel is nitride treated for accuracy and durability and is pressed into a new hammer forged front trunnion to ensure the longevity AK-47s are known for.  The hardened steel 1mm receiver features a mil-spec style single hook trigger, and side rail mount.  The front trunnion and bolt carrier are engraved with GF3 to designate the GF3 hammer forged model.  The rifle is finished with a Magpul polymer handguard, Magpul Zhukov stock, and Magpul AK-47 polymer grip; Rifle ships with 30 round magazine (where allowed by law).

No cleaning rod, no deal.

(still trying to figure out why NO AKs come with cleaning rods, or why all vendors have to mention that)

Most imported AK's do come with cleaning rods. PSA makes their guns in house and adding a cleaning rod would increase the price of the rifle for a part that almost no AK owner born after 1940 / west of the Berlin Wall would ever use. If you really want one they go for $7 on ebay or for a pack of half chewed gum at any gun show.

They are nice to have if you have a case stuck in the chamber but are a pretty crappy way to clean a barrel.

BTW, most AK's now are missing the cleaning kit found in the butt stock which I think would be far more important to exclude if not included with the rifle.

They have time to sell you stuff but shut down their phone service, do not reply to emails and you wont hear from them with the contact form either. Not a good time to buy something from them. Try calling...

Who you trying to call? I'd hope it's someone with ample stock, reasonable prices, and surplus employees. Please let us know when you find them...

Worst customer service EVER! Mine needs a new rear sight leaf and psa refuses to sell one. Rifle is kind of useless with no sights.

Yeah, PSA customer service was very notable back in the day. They seem to have grown too big for their britches now.

I got mine in Gray a couple months ago. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with it! This is my first AK-47. I told myself I would not be modding it but of course I was wrong I've added a Midwest industries optic mount , Bushnell AR optics 300 Black Out Scope, Tapco muzzle brake. I've put a proximately 200 rounds of steel cased tulammo without a single failure to feed or eject. I love this gun and really want an AK pistol next I love PSA products.

Nice! I picked one up about a month ago. It’s my first AK also. I’m loving it so far. I’ve only put 120 rounds of Tula through it so far, but it’s been 100% reliable.

Get them while you can. They sell out as soon as they are back in stock.

What's the latest word on these in terms of Armageddon reliability compared to say a WASR?

Okay I want to point out 2 flaws with it: folded stock is in the way of traveling charging handle, slant muzzle + zhukov = cheek slaps. Also I bought mine 7 months ago so it was probably not "GF3", but that 2-piece trunnion can't mount a soon-2b-banned slide fire stock.

My GB2 Zhukov stock interferes with cycling while it’s folded too.

The folded stock shouldn't interfere with the weapon cycling, if it does there is something that needs repairing / adjusting. Cheek slaps are due to not holding the rifle properly or you are running an optic thus need a riser. Remember the AK was designed before commoners had optics. If you are running something other than irons you may want to invest $10 in a Magpul AK Cheek Riser. They are available in a few different heights.

Source: my 6th AK and I own this exact configuration.

agree. 9/10 if a weapon is "hurting" you, you are operating/holding the weapon incorrectly and or the wrong/needed parts. i. e. a riser. People who have never shot or trained with the military type weapons try to use them like granddads old hunting rifle... doesnt work that way.
