Bought just the 9mm lower a few months back for 89$ shipped (minus the pistol grip and stock) . It does NOT have to be used with a psa upper either...great lower for 89$!

Wish they would sell the pistol lower for this same price. I think it's a crock of sh!t that they sell the same lower as a pistol lower for $50 bucks more.
How much more does it cost for them to put a slick pistol buffer tube than to put on a rifle buffer tube and that cheap plastic stock?

Can this be registered as a pistol and I just replace the buffer tube ??

A complete lower is NOT a rifle yet.
Take the stock off and put a upper on it and it becomes a pistol.
A AR pistol dows not need a pistol buffer tube to be classified as a pistol either.
It just can't have a stock.

Go to ATF.gov and read the rules. There are plenty of threads on AR15.com that explain the rules.

It’s already registered as a rifle so you would have to SBR it.

yes when you go through the background check the FFL usually puts "Other" on the type of weapon it is so you can have it pistol or rifle.

I don't think so. I believe that the law is that If it's sold as a rifle lower from the manufacturer then it has to get registered as a long gun.
I wish they (PSA) would just sell these as pistol lowers.
My understanding is that with a pistol lower you can can always put a real stock and long barreled upper if you want a full sized rifle, and go back to pistol length without braking any laws.
That's my understanding, I'm not an expert, nor a lawyer or anything f the sort, this is just my opinion of how i unerstand the law to be.

You can put a rifle length upper on a pistol lower but not a rifle stock. You have to keep either the pistol tube or a brace on the pistol lower.

This is the better of the two 9mm lowers psa offers. Same 9mm lowers spikes and other companies are using atm. Not a deal though. I bought this lower (stripped) from PSA once for $69 shipped. The LPK and stock on this lower isn't worth $80 just to be taken off and switched with other parts.

I have two PSA 9 mm lowers. They both work with other manufacturers 9 mm uppers. I have FM products and Karri's guns 9mm uppers. They both run fine on PSA 9 mm lowers.

Yes PSA is so proprietary its sickening.Their AR10 is not interchangeable with anyone elses ar10 if that helps. But its the perfect way to make it to where you force customers to purchase only your products.
