FEATURES
Once upon a time, a "dissipator" AR was created by taking a 20" rifle-length gas system upper and cutting the barrel down to 16". This allowed the shooter to keep the long sight radius of a rifle for accuracy, but keep the carbine length barrel for maneuverability. The proximity of the gas port to the muzzle, however, played havoc with timing and made reliability a hit or miss proposition. Advances in AR technology have produced reliable carbine and mid-length gas systems, that can be hidden using low-profile gas blocks. This allows for a front sight base to be pinned in the rifle position for the longer sight radius without the worry of the unorthodox gas port location affecting operation. We use the term "mock" to differentiate our dissipator from a cut-down rifle length version.
Barrel: 4150V Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a Mid-length gas system. This A2 style profile barrel is nitride treated for accuracy and durability. Barrel is finished off with a pinned F-marked front sight post in the Rifle position with sling swivel, rifle length handguards, and an A2 flash hider.
Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is machined to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized. Uppers include forward assist and dust cover. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer.
Bolt: Full-auto profile bolt carrier group. Shot-peened, mil-spec Carpenter No. 158® steel bolt. Gas Key Hardened to USGI Specifications, Fastened with Grade 8 screws, and Staked Per Mil-Spec. 8620 steel M-16 profile carrier is chrome lined and phosphate coated.
Lower: These forged lowers are quality made using 7075-T6 aluminum and are marked "MULTI" for caliber. Finish is a hard coat anodize. Rifle buffer is fitted with a PSA A2 Rifle Stock. The fire control group is a PSA enhanced polished trigger (EPT), single-stage assembly.

…or just buy the upper and lower separately and save $200.

Maybe pricing was different when you posted this (currently $580), but there’s no way you could buy all the same parts from PSA to assemble this for $380.

Even with a “Freedom” barrel (4150 Nitride, government profile), this is still a banging good price for a rifle ready out of the box with iron sights. Buy cheap, stack deep.

Love the look of these rifles. Just a clean, simple rifle.

They like to hide “freedom line” barrels in these... just FYI

FYI;, not a true dissipator as it has a mid-length, not rifle gas system. Regardless, I love mine (bought the upper and buffer tube plug for the full length stock build). Wish it was a true dissipator though.

Fair point, but the original rifle length gas system on a 16” barrel was known to have cycling issues due to being undergassed. It may not be a “true dissapator,” but it’s significantly more reliable.

It's about time they released this as a complete rifle...
