Looking to build my first.

How does this compare to the Anderson Manufacturing Stainless polished trigger group?

Might want to do 7.62x39 also, I know those need a heavier spring so I wonder about the smaller hammer on the Anderson kit.

Thanks!

For $50 you might as well get ALG triggers.

Still worth only $30.

Remember when these were $29 a year ago?

What is interesting is how these triggers are compared to other company's products, i.e. Tom's and RTB and some say those other ones are better or equal. Guess what, they are ALL the same trigger. Same as another one mentioned frequently, FTM. All of these triggers are made by Schmid Tool. Look at the "S" in the square, that is the Schmid Tool logo. Until awhile ago, all Schmid parts were only sold OEM, now they are sold under 1001 Tactical. This is the same trigger as sold with various lowers and kits identified as the EPT (Enhanced Polished Trigger). When added to a kit the value of the kit is priced at $30 more, the same as they are selling the kit for separate, which is a deal.

Good price @ $30. Wish it was free shipping. I have one of these as part of my AR15 build. It is way better then I expected. I polished the contact points even more with a 1000 grid wet/dry sanding paper. My friends couldn't believe that it was brand new considering how smooth the trigger was. I put a JP spring set on but haven't shot it yet.

I want to buy couple more.

Actually $38.49 ... no Free shipping. For $30 I would have bought it, but not paying 28% of item value on shipping.

Just keep an eye on it. These have come up free shipping at this price pretty regularly

Is the Rock River Arms 2-stage the cheapest option for a proper 2-stage trigger in an AR? All I see are single-stage triggers below that $80 price point...

I've bought half a dozen of these when they have been on sale and as others mention they are a SUPER bargain at the sale price! IMO equal to an ALG when combined with a good reduced power spring set like JP enhanced reliability (reduced pull weight) spring kits or if you do one of the several "DIY spring modifications" that can be found......with the springs they come with the pull is on the high side. Very smooth and crisp clean break with basically no take up from what I have experienced!

Perfect trigger for a budget build! I usually install Timney or POF triggers in my higher end builds but one of these with a good spring kit gets darn close to those higher end triggers!

Looks like the Right To Bear is better according to comments here. IS it free shipping when in stock or shipping is additional? Thanks

I might try the RTB ...

I bought a few of these a while back. They are smooth but trigger pull is 6lbs on mine so not really impressed.

probably the best bang for your buck mil-spec trigger out there. smooth, no creep, and dirt cheap. love these better than the ALG QMS or the Spikes NiB one for value. nearly as good as the ACT for only $29.99...ordered 3 of them to pair up with a trio of spikes lower parts kit (sans trigger).

I've used these triggers for years now, combined with the red/yellow JP enhanced reliability (reduced pull weight) spring kits. Most of mine around around 5lbs, smooth, and still safe enough for duty carry. One of mine is 4.5lbs and I put that one on my target 18" SPR w/ rifle length gas Faxon gunner barrel. It shoots 3/4 MOA at 100yds all day long with good ammo. Trigger has alot to do with that accuracy.

One of the best bang for your buck for a mil spec trigger, unless you polish the trigger and coat it yourself!

What's even cheaper is finding it already installed in a lower!

Or free shipping one day! ;)

If you will notice the "S" in the square logo on the trigger kit. The "S" is Schmid Tool which also makes the one PSA sells, so yes, identical kits. FTM sells the same kit with his name as do many others.

the RTB product above is a superior product, the disconnector is also coated and polished, and comes with the reduced power springs.

Shipping is still $8.50. Not too bad, especially if you grab a couple magazines at just $6.99 each. It didn't change my shipping amount to add the mags.

Did the exact same thing... D&H MAGS rock with a little file work on the follower - 300 AAC. None better, plus easy identification difference between magpoop and D&H

Perfect timing!! You can't go wrong with these triggers. Not at this price. I am blown away by the quality of these $30 triggers. Mine has almost zero take-up, no creep at all, and feels like breaking glass each and every time. I have a preference for very short, solid hitting resets and the PSA enhanced polished trigger definitely has all of the above.

No deal. Normal price.

Not worth the money, VERY HARD pull. PSA's customer service is the worst. Take a 10 min and do a trigger job on a cheap trigger you will like it much better. Without the jp springs this thing is junk.

Cheap trigger? How much is YOUR life worth? The trigger pull isn't supposed to be light unless you're a competitive shooter where lives won't be lost to a premature or accidental discharge. Otherwise stock trigger pull is supposed to be designed for the adrenaline dump that hits people who are caught up in circumstances they normally don't plan on.

There are other applications for a light trigger besides competition. Hunting, target shooting, backyard shooting. I understand the adrenaline dump reasoning but that’s what “duty” triggers are for. Even most handguns come with lighter triggers around 5 lbs.

When I was looking for these triggers last weekend the PSA website said they are out of stock. I'm hoping they've built their supply up once again.

If you own a dremel and have five minutes spare time, you can polish your trigger and turn a 9 lb gritty crap trigger into a nice 5lb smooth as silk trigger.

Shipping was free on these this afternoon for about an hour or so. First time I ever saw them with free shipping (on the front page, too).

Free shipping was gone by the time I got home from work to order. Shame because the only time I ever order them is when I am including them in an order of other parts (can't justify $8.50 for a trigger).

I ordered one earlier this afternoon and shipping was free. I live in GA and PSA collect GA tax so mine came to just over $32.

Almost a year later and SHIPPING prices still SUCK. PSA needs offer these with the free shipping special. Otherwise, better deals out there when u consider the overall bottom line.

I think these are well worth $30, but the real deal is when the lower parts kits that include these FCG's are on sale for ~$55-$60.

My .02 is that these are uniformly like a very good standard trigger. I've used a lot of parts kits and the standard "mil-spec" triggers have varied a lot with some being very good (similar to an ALG trigger) and some being gritty messy garbage. Getting one of these basically ensures you will end up with a very crisp mil-spec weighted trigger.

If you happen to have gotten lucky with a nice crisp mil-spec trigger, then the $30 is probably wasted for you. If you are building from scratch then you can't go wrong either getting the parts kit that includes this, or buying this and a parts kit sans FCG. Both should net around ~$55 and it's well worth it over a standard parts kit.

Installed one of these as came in one of their sets. Pretty average compared to the right to bear arm version I typically use. Not bad for what I paid but would never buy one of these alone over the right to bear version.

I have been a PSA customer since last year. Just got boned on a BCG ( PSA Premium Full Auto ) was advertised as New but was indeed a blem. After pictures, e-mails, pictures with another BCG ,(same model BCG) from PSA, they told me to pound sand. I do not trust this company as far as I can throw them. I have at least one AR build from this company, along with other parts and I will not do business after my last transaction. They offered to refund the order if I sent it back ( on my dime ). As I already have 12 bucks into this on shipping. I will sell it at a loss and it is a lesson learned.
Buyer Beware!

I have bought several items from PSA in the past too. I never had to return anything, but you aren't the first person who has complained about their cust, service.

Interesting if not concerning. I've been a regular PSA customer. I recently ordered and received a barreled AR 15 upper from PSA for a great price and free shipping and advertised as not a blem. Upon receipt, it took me one second to see the color of this upper was totally off, like a purplish/maroon color - - clearly a blem. On the other hand, in the past I've received several "blem" lowers from them that weren't blems at all. I've been very satisfied with their products until now. I'm keeping the upper and really hope this was just a fluke.

In any event, they should have absolutely taken care of you on that bcg rather than making you work to prove their error then shining you on. Bad customer service and bad business. No excuse for that.

I have two of the PSA's and really like them, but for just $10 more I think I might like to try the Right to Bear after your comment. Thanks
