So, I purchased one of these in 2021 and all was well until I accidentally misplaced the bolt it came with on a shooting trip. Long story short, PSA will NOT sell you a replacement bolt for this gun despite it being proprietary. You have to re-purchase the entire AR-V kit to get a replacement bolt (which is a wear item). Until they start selling replacement parts for this gun, I'd look at something else...

This would bother me immensely. Also why I stopped buying Sig’s proprietary operating systems.

Is this the gun Turd Ferguson uses?

This thing with a Rare Breed forced reset smokes smooth as butter.

will this take regular AR trigger upgrades like Geissele?

Yeah, any AR15 trigger’s.

I cant see giving this kind of money for a PSA when I can buy a CZ Scorpion, Ruger or Stribog for less money ?? When they start having some better QC I may consider spending my hard earned $$ with them.

Ruger pc charger & binary trigger is about 50 bucks more than this! Go this way!

Yep. Nothing against PSA but this is $599 at most = Willingness to Pay. Goddamn Tyrannical ATF and their pending pistol brace reclass. Like i said..$599

A year later and I would up my willingness to buy to $650. I did buy a psa arv stripped lower and upper set and was able to build it out for 515. So if you build your own, you can get close to building this for less. To each their own. GN’B on the Tubes….peace out

What 9mm uppers brand-wise would you be able to put on lower? Just psa? Or are there better options

If there’s one thing PSA is starting to master, it’s making cheap knockoffs of foreign guns.

It's more of a AR-9/CZ Scorpion hybrid than a SP5/MP5 "knockoff". It uses Gen 2 CZ Scorpion magazines and a similar magazine catch. The handguard looks MP5ish, but it's nothing more than a free floating handguard that can mount to any AR-15.Similar handguards are sold by Boyden and BYOAR.

What a beauty! My credit card is getting real warm looking at this advertisement...lol. I surely can't afford any HIGH COST brand MP5, so this may fill that want and void I have in my collection. The best of both worlds in my opinion. 25%AR, 75% MP5 variant. Dang what to do...is it worth. Sleeping on the couch for a week? Lol. Is it worth not asking for permission instead asking for forgiveness after I buy it? Lol.
Just kidding, I don't need any permission or apology.

PS. One thing I would like to see is this in a side charging handle platform!

Had my eye on these for a while; if I didn't have my CZ Scorpion I probably would've purchased one by now. I still may; does anyone have both that can speak to the performance differences & which they prefer/why?

I have both an AR-V and a 3+ micro. Both are direct blowback guns, so they shoot equally "OK" IMHO. Because the AR-V is built from an AR-15 platform, accessories, buffers and triggers are plentiful and cheap. It's also a lot easier to disassemble and work on. Personally, I like the looks and feel of the CZ better. It's also a bit lighter and easier to conceal with a folding stock because there's no external buffer assembly. I couldn't pick just one, so I bought both...

I bought some HK type diopter front and rear BUIS sights from ebay a few months ago. Cheap as they were (like $20 for the set) they would look perfect on this pistol. Almost the same as a MP5 front and rear sights.

I bought this one and I love it. Definitely looks like an MP5 and AR had a baby. It’s the perfect size for a sub CQB gun. I also have the AKV and love that one as well. The bolt release is sensitive so I enjoy giving it the HK slap. It’s my bedside gun.

I’m gonna guess this is cause they can’t give us the mp5 they hyped up

That handguard sure gives it that MP5 look. I think they are having so much success with their AK-V and other in house manufactured offerings they have permanently put the PSA-5 on the shelf. Maybe if demand dies down they will pick it back up.

I can see spending 800 on this one. If I didn't own the akv I would buy one.
