Pair this up with the Radical .223 Wylde upper that’s on sale for $199 at PA and add that PSA nitride m16 bcg that’s also on sale for $70. You’d be getting into a pretty solid AR rifle for roughly $400.

This is insane I believe I bought mine for $149. There’s a point where they’ve just lost it. They also won $550 for a regular old upper. That A.R. 10 with the stainless steel barrel that I bought was $580. I hate to even look and see what they want for that now.

Save yourself a $100 and buy the KP-15 lower from Brownells or KE Arms, help out Fagan.

Wow, yo, psa lowers are 309 now! Last time this happened around 2012, PSA was the saviour of the poor. They sold their rifles at 1/2 to 1/3 the price other companies charged. For more than 6 years complete no frills lowers were between $150-200, a stripped PSA lower ran between $40-60, and sometimes all with free shipping. This country needs another company to come in like PSA did in 2012 and undersell all this dinosaurs charging this much for basic lower.

Advertised as $209 and actual site is asking $310!!! WTF!!!! PSA price gouging will run you out of business. PSA just lost a customer!!!!

$249??? So $179 COVID19 price wasn't enough for Palmetto? Maybe they can use the money to actually provide customer service for products they have sold and have a real person answering the phone.

Typical price for these are $150-165. $249 is a COVID price. To each their own.

What's the deal? The comments go back YEARS.....most are irrelevant to the current deal.

For those who think the shipping fee is a profit center, you must not be in business to make such a stupid comment.

1. First of all, lets not factor in packing material, the box, etc.
2. How about the person packing the shipment, ya, his labor should be in the price, I get it
3. how about the UPS fee itself? Even if shipped ground, the price is more than the $7 people want it to be.
4. How about adult signature required? That is an additional shipping fee.

Frankly, the $17 is not a bad price to pay for shipping for a completed lower.

They charged me state tax. :(

Me too. PSA just started charging tax in my state. This is making PSA deals a lot less appealing for me. YMMV

They now charge tax in CO.
All PSA deals have changed for me.

Yeah. PSA is like a swap meet. Just call them with your 1000 mike away trade offers, lol

Tempting, but I think you’re better off going with 300 blackout if you want a 30 caliber with comparable ballistics. 7.62x39 ar15’s are known to have feeding issues because of the magwell and the geometry of the cartridges.

Well 300 blackout is expensive and it's mainly the mag catches on the case which can be fixed with a dremel

So traditionally I thought I've read that the weak point for 762x39 AR15 is that there is very little meat left on the bolt face and thus quite susceptible to bolt face failure.

Is there any reason why this gun won't suffer the same fate?

Isn't this why the better format for 762x39 is an AR10 with bigger bolt.

For increased reliability of the 7.62x39 rifles in the AR-15 platform, you should do some simple upgrades if reliability is a problem only while shooting.
1. Replace the hammer spring with an extra strength one. 2. Replace the firing pin with one designed for the 7.62x39 cartridge. 3. Super polish the chamber of the rifle, the section where the casing rests.

And if you also buy an AR-15 5.56 complete upper you can use this lower to fire 5.56 cartridges?

0 votes
0 votes

Rporteous, you can use an AR-15 lower receiver to shoot 7.62x39 (AK-47 bullet), .223 Remington, 5.56x45 NATO, .300 Blackout, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, .458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf.
All you’ll need is the correct barrel to match the cartridge.
For example, don’t use a .223 barrel to shoot 5.56 NATO, but you can use the 5.56 NATO barrel to shoot .223

You’ll also need to use the correct magazines for the cartridge in use.

No. This is chambered in 7.62x39 (AK-47 and SKS ammunition) and works in micro actions (for intermediate cartridges), in this case ar-15 clones. You are thinking of 7.62x51, which is generally interchangeable with 308 Winchester, a short action (full-on battle rifle like AR-10). Even the actual bullets of each 7.62 nominal caliber mentioned here are incompatible, being different diameters.

Would this upper chamber the .308 win.?

No, it takes regular AR15 mag designed for 7.62x39. I would suggest C Products Defense mags.

Although PSA did make the KS47 that could use AK mags, but more expensive.

Does this just take standard ak magazines?

Bn775 this rifle chambered in 7.62x39 has a standard AR-15 lower receiver, and can not accept regular AK magazines, you’ll need to look for the AR-15 compatible magazine that’s designed for the 7.62x39 cartridge. Google it up and watch a few videos for reviews before buying any one brand

PSA's 7.62x39 have been good to go for me. One of the best all around cartridge, from self defense, hunting and plinking!

However with current prices this upper should have a m lok rail on them. ;)

Yeah, they do change prices quickly. That’s why I get e mails from them so I know when things are cheaper. Same goes for Brownells and many others. $150 isn’t a bad price but if I found it lower I would jump.

Karries was $119.99 with free shipping and, it was a lower. I just got tired of waiting on P S A to lower the price back down again. They shipped it right out and I got it quickly, so I'm happy.

I just logged in to see if any morons were complaining about this deal...

Morons? Anything? Its $129 shipped to a FFL?

Yes. Shhhhhh........

It was always $129 and then they raised it to $149 now it's back to $129 and in the meantime I bought one from Karrie's guns. My gripe is them raising the prices and lowering the prices all the time.

Good lower, just completed a build with this lower. Got the free shipping deal around Christmas, $17 does seem on the high side for shipping.

$17 shipping is $10 higher than they charged 1 year ago. They are doing a ton of business online so, shipping costs should be built into their business model not inflated to create another profit opportunity. If they really want to bring in $146.99 per lower it would be more honest to charge $139.99 plus $7 shipping.

I got two of these last time they had free shipping many months ago. They didn't last long but they were $129.99 shipped. Just wait till they have free shipping again & hope they have them in stock.

Great deal. I got the Magpul MOE complete lower a month ago for my build. Same lower reciever. Top Notch!. And for those that b!tch about shipping, you can drive to South Carolina and pick it up!

Shipping is $17 per lower! So if you order 2 you pay $34 shipping! if you order 3 you pay $51 shipping!!
And all of them will be sent in the same box - to the same address

Good point. $146.99 shipped is a great deal for a complete, already assembled, mil-spec lower!

$17 is gouging. It's clear that they are using shipping charges as a profit center. I've bought tons of stuff from PSA and the new inflated shipping rates are a real disappointment.
