I purchased one of these a bit over a month ago. It went back to PSA last week for a refund. It performed very poorly. I purchased 17 different 50 round boxes of .22 (in addition to the handful of different things I already had on hand) to try and figure out what it likes and doesn't like.

The only good thing I can say about it was that it was reliable. I had a couple feeding issues in the first 50 rounds, but once got beyond 50 rounds I had zero malfunctions (put about 400 rounds through it in total before sending it back).

The bad news is that it's excessively inaccurate. I did my first batch of test shooting at just 15 yards. I was shooting standing, but supported by a shooting rest, with a cheapie 1-4x optic. At 15 yards I had only two loads that would product 5-shot groups under 2", CCI Standard Velocity and Aguila Standard velocity. The other standard velocity loads I tried were in the 2-3" range, and when I started getting into high velocity stuff, even the best of them (Mini-Mags) were grouping around 5" and the worst of them were 8" or more. At 15 yards, this his hilariously bad. At 50 yards, shooting off a bench, I only tried CCI SV since that performed the best, and I was getting 6" groups. I wasn't going to waste my time with any other loads at 50 yards, I doubt I would have even been able to hit paper.

I have since put together an upper using a 9" CMMG barrel and matching bolt. It's much better. Shooting at 25 yards, standing/supported (same conditions as the PSA upper at 15 yards), I can group just under an inch with the better SV loads and under 2" with the better HV loads. I haven't had a chance to do any bench shooting yet, but I'm sure it will be notably better. All said and done, the CMMG build cost me about $100 more than the PSA upper, but I think it was well worth it. It's still not a tackdriver, but it at least performs in line with what I'd expect out of a .22LR AR pistol.

Looks good. Functions good. Poor accuracy, 3” at 25 yards is about the best I could do

Were you able to run different types of 22 ammo through it and if so did any yield better results than others?

I ordered this one and received it in 3 business days (SC to FL doesn’t take long) but it only took them one business day to send it. I haven’t tried it out yet but looks great for the money.

Cheapest .22 upper I've seen yet. Too bad it's PSA. Their lead times, especially on complete uppers, are fooking ridiculous. I went to buy a BCG/CH combo off of them and they said a 2 week lead time, wouldn't budge on it. Ended up going with a combo from 22modsforall.com for like $7 more and had it on my doorstep in 3 days from when I clicked order.

That was after the south Florida school shooting. Order stuff now you will get it quick especially if it's not a FFL item.

Can you provide feedback on that 22modsforall combo you bought? I'm curious.

They project high leads times and always deliver quickly. I’ve literally bought like 5 complete lowers and have always had it shipped from them within days. I bought one of these at 8am already today. Please don’t buy, our gain to those who know the meaning of patience.
