Looks to me like a great price considering that the upper includes the BCG and CH plus the Vortex Sparc and free shipping. Maybe the Sparc isn't high end for RDS but Vortex stands 100% behind their products and the Sparc should be dependable for most users.

They are trying everything to get rid of those sparcs. Word is out. Not a great choice for a red dot. Big glob behind the glass holding led emmiter, button switches hard to operate and in a bad location. Vortex already has a replacement out, better design, less money. And PSA wont let you post a review on this if it is bad.

I own several SPARC ARs. They are okay given the price. My biggest complaint is when paired with a magnifier you see the separation of the dot into 3 distinct dots which makes zeroing a hassle. Knowing what I do now, I probably would have gone with the Sig optics. However, they hold zero extremely well and the battery life is great. Buttons aren't the easiest to operate, especially with gloves. Too small, close together, and facing the shooter. Would much prefer the watch battery that the rest of my optics use.

I sent back my Sparc and got the Sig. Much nicer product.
