The ultimate long-range AR-15 upper is finally here!
The 224 Valkyrie round was developed to bring unheard of accuracy and long-range ballistic performance to the AR-15 platform.
Barrel: The Gen2 PSA 224 Valkyrie upper receiver was created with a 416R Stainless Steel barrel with a 1/6.5" twist rate for optimal accuracy over long distances. Cycling reliability is achieved with a rifle length gas system, which is completed with a PSA Low-profile adjustable Gas Block. The barrel is finished off with an A2 flash hider and a PSA 15" Lightweight M-Lok Rail.
Upper Receiver: The forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is machined to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer.

No such thing as “over-stabilizing” a .223 cartridge, especially a heavy one which is what this cartridge is. 1:6.5 is what every ammo manufacturer recommends for this round. It’s not too fast.
I had gas tube issues with this upper when I first received it. I called PSA and they sent me a new tube, which also didn’t work. PSA paid the shipping both ways to do a repair, and I have had zero issues since receiving my upper back. The price of Valky is dropping, and different factory loads are coming to market now too.
Any issues using polymer mags with this upper in mind? I know some ppl have had issues lately with some 224 uppers
1:6.5" is just too fast of a twist
It'd probably work fine with a high end bullet like heavy Bergers...but I'm not into 1 trick ponies.
Make it a 1:8 or even a 1:7 and it'd be good to go.
