$74.98, no tax, shipped, VS, $108.49 shipped, plus tax in some states, for the exact same Schmit Tool two-stage trigger. Looks to me like PSA is trying to screw you out of at least $33.53.
$64.99+ $9.99 flat rate shipping. https://www.deltateamtactical.com/davidson-defense-elite-series-2-stage-nickel-boron-trigger.html...
Better yet, go to www.larue.com.... Read some of 3300 reviews that have been posted by happy, knowledgeable MBT-2s trigger owners, and become one of them for $95.95 shipped. (Texas residents pay tax,)
Larue's MBT is not only better but CS is top notch whereas PSA customer service is non existent
I have one of these on a PSA 6.5 Grendal. It’s much better than mil spec and the one I got was worth the price.
It might be a gritty, heavy pull, mil spec trigger....but hey, at least it's shiny.
Right ?
So, I get where you’re coming from, but it’s definitely not that. No, it’s not worth 87.5% the price of the MBT-2S, but it’s also not a terrible trigger. I would put it at 60% of the LaRue. If you can’t afford the $80+ shipping, this could be a good alternative if it were around $50. But it’s not. So most wont try it. And that’s a failure on PSA’s part.
This isn't a bad trigger, but let me link you to a couple of pages where AR shooters that really know triggers have taken the time to post over 2200 reviews. https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/#reviews-tab..., and https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-straight-bow-trigger/#reviews-tab.... Just take some time to read random reviews. I think you will be glad you did.
You are correct and kind for providing all the links. The MBT-2S is far superior to the PSA. I have one PSA two stage in one rifle and four rifles with MBT's. I also put MBT's in two rifles I built for friends. I will never buy another PSA 2 Stage trigger when the MBT is available for not much more.
$70. $10 + shipping you can get a LaRue Trigger, which would be a no brainer. PSA would rock the market if they did the two stage for $40ish and their reg EPT in a Lower parts kit for $40ish!
I think they would be able to sell a ton more two-stage triggers separately if they packaged way more build kits with them at an affordable price. I have many MBT-2S triggers and gave the PSA 2-stage a try back when it was introduced for ~$60. At 3/4 the price of the LaRue, it’s definitely worth its price. It would be worth up to $60, IMHO. But at $70, I’m with you on spending a little more and getting the LaRue.
Been waiting a couple weeks for mine. They aren’t even offering to make it right!
Subtotal $59.99
Shipping & Handling (Shipping Option - Ground) $8.50
Tax $4.11 (6% ky tax for me yours maybe more or less idk)
real total = $72.60 (depends on your states tax i guess)
Not a bad trigger group at all. Nowhere comparable to the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S, but it IS worth another $30 from the PSA EPT single-stage trigger group. At $60, it's worth the cost. At the previously priced $80, nope.
NOT COMING UP WITH FREE SHIPPING
Out of the goodness of their heart, PSA is running these on "Special" for $69.99 plus $8.50 shipping = $78.49. If you use the link shown below, whose normal price $64.99 plus $9.99 shipping for your entire order = $74.98. You will save $4.01.
