Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce the 1911 Pistol line with our PSA Blue Premium 1911. This is not your basic 1911, this model comes loaded with features found on higher priced models: Front and rear slide serations, a skeletonized trigger, Combat hammer, beaver tail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and high visibility 3 dot sights. While a production gun, the crisp trigger, and close tolerances give the look and feel of a hand fitted pistol, while retaining the reliability of a production weapon.
We start with a carbon steel frame, and add a forged 4140 steel slide, both deep blued for durability. The stainless steel barrel is ramped for higher reliability with the wide variety of ammo types available today. The skeletonized trigger has an adjustable stop, and the thumb and grip safeties are extended for easier use.
From its polished sides to its subdued branding, the PSA Blue Premium 1911 delivers the value Palmetto State Armory customers have come to expect.

For that price or not that much more, I'd get a Kimber! They've been having pretty good deals on here for awhile.

I do like PSA , but they should make a $300 -$400 1911

I contacted PSA about this 1911. I was going to share whatever info they gave me on a 1911 forum. I simply inquired as to what makes this an $800 1911?
No response at all.

At this price point I think I'd just buy a Colt. I don't see Palmetto having resale, or collectors value in the future like a Colt.
You can get a Commander or a stainless version of a Colt for that kind of cash.

The Desert Eagle 1911 made by BUL in Israel (they originally made the Kimbers) is an awesome 1911 for a little over $600. Better than a Kimber, Colt, or Sig.

I own one and while it's a great pistol it's not "better" than any of the other said retailers. For a production 1911, it's very good.. Just one mans experiences and humble opinion...
