PSA make this $299 with a free float handguard for Black Friday at least, to keep up with BCA deals

$340 (if you have a lower you bought for $40 or less) and you have a complete AR-15 (less mag). Not a bad price all things considered. PSA is not DD or other premium quality makers but their stuff does work and for the most part they stand behind their products.

I bought this when it was on sale for cheap and I cannot be happy enough about it. I wish I had bought some PSA stuff before now -- the quality is excellent. The lower parts kit is one of the better ones I've used -- and they included some extras for the super small retainer springs, and all of it comes packed neatly in a full rifle box for when you do your build.

If I buy this item, what else do I need to complete my AR "build"? Is this everything I need for the firearm except a lower receiver? I have never done this before

The only thing you need is a lower receiver. Everything is included. Just clean it all up (packing oil) and build your lower and go.

Ordered. I have a “bought “ PSA rifle and love it. I want to try building one now that I have experience with the platform and this is to good of a deal to pass up. Maybe for the next rifle I’ll look to source all the parts myself.

Or wait! For a $130 more I could buy this fancy binary trigger!

This used to be the best deal around, and although there are cheaper options, out of the many palmetto builds I’ve done, I’ve never had problems. They are good to go.

Looks like I waited too long. Out of stock.

I'm curious: what is the general experience of this community with PTAC build kits? I've read some positive reviews but the majority seem to lean in the other direction. My interest is in building a low cost "spare" that would probably get very little use, and sometime after November could end up being worth quite a bit more than it cost me to build it. What's the downside?
