Better off getting individual pieces from PSA. Can get the nitride upper with sparc and magpul flip up sights $350, sba3 lower $200, $50 psabcg and an upgraded charging handle for $30. Even if you dont like the Sparc optic you can sell for $150.

If you add tax and shipping charges to some of the items I’m not sure if it’s a better deal or not.

Highlander, First, all of the parts he mentioned ship free. Granted the free shipping offer doesn't happen all the time, but all the items will have free shipping if you can wait when it's offered. Second, not all states get taxed by PSA. Ohio residents, where I live, for example, does not. I place orders with them regularly, as recent as today, and none of my orders have been taxed.

For me in Illinois they charge $8.50 for shipping and $4.37 tax for the $50 bolt carrier group.

Or you could buy the upper and lower complete and separate like I did. Came out a few bucks cheaper. Your math seems a bit off to me...

By his math you get flip-ups, a better charging handle, and a Sparc for $10 more. That's "better off" for sure. He didn't say cheaper, and if you sell the Sparc that's still cheaper by a lot.

LOL. Was thinking the same thing. Btw, do you hunt Cubans or are you a Cubano Hunter?

I have this model. Over 1000rds so far. No issues. Lube it before you shoot it.
If you change the flash can for a comp just watch for port clearance. The hand rail is longer than the barrel. With that in mind I am still very happy with mine. I may buy a second time.

I would get it if the barrel was nitiride. This phosphate bothers me.

I've never had any issues with the finish or coating of any AR15 I have. For awhile I avoided both phosphate and qpq nitride thinking it won't last, but the rifle I started with in 1984 has no issues other than wearing off due to use. I got past my concern and so far things seem good

I run this model with a hybrid suppresor and feed it steady diet of tula and wolf. I've had zero issues with 1500+ rounds so far. It's a great shooter and a ton of fun.

Is this a good buy? I’m looking to buy my first AR pistol and from what I read 11.5” is the recommended length in terms of accuracy and reliability. TIA.

I bought this with the vortex package with 10 mags and went over to Bass Pro and had them price match the three times magnifier. Everything's been zeroed in at 100 yards and I'm shooting 1in group easily.. if you do decide on going with this gun at least with mine make sure you take everything apart and grease it up a little bit mine was pretty bare

shoots great, Smooth action, super light, wasn't really lubed at all during the out of box inspection.
